There's a new Yu-Gi-Oh! series by Konami coming for April 2017.
It will be the 6th series from the franchise. So this pretty much means Arc-V is ending next year.

Dueling in VR. Yusaku is apparently Tron if he went Super Saiyan.

I'm actually really excited about Yu-Gi-Oh! VRains. I loved the VR arcs in the classic Yu-Gi-Oh! anime and I think that having a whole new Yu-Gi-Oh! anime being set in VR has great potential.

Furthermore, I think it's no coincidence that this approach is taken by the anime at a time when real world VR technology is at last catching up with the show. There is every possibility that we could see an actual Yu-Gi-Oh! VR being announced to coincide with this anime, for something like PlayStation VR. If that happens I'd buy the game (and any digital cards I need) in a heartbeat, Yu-Gi-Oh! VR could be one of the great games of all time.

As for the rule changes in the card game itself, I think that overall this will benefit the metagame. I never liked the way that pendulum summons got their own zones at the edge of board, it made everything messy. Restricting pendulum summons to the spell/trap zone makes things much more streamlined.

Beyond that, I look forward to adapting my strategies to new rules.
