Disgusting how you're all indoctrinated to think America was ever the greatest country in the world, it's not just the country that makes it the "protagonist". I am from the UK and if the UK and US went to war the world would side with the UK, its about the world setting and how many friends you have and I'm sorry US but the world hates you.

In the eye of any group of people, they are the protagonist. They are all main characters.

No one wants to side with Sir Brexit and their weak military. Be thankful that the USA is friendly with the UK right now.

I think it works both ways there, you have a point with the brexit but the US is leaving NATO which is even worse than the EU.

Fair enough. I think there are countries like Japan who are closer to the USA in the current political landscape and have a fair-sized military/economy, while some are closer to the UK. I don't think anyone's going to have to make such choices in the near future, though. Right now, both the UK and USA contribute a lot to world economy, charity, and military action, so damaging either one is painful to many countries.

You know the Battle Royale 2 scene where the teacher lists lots and lots of countries on a blackboard? Those are all countries USA invaded since 1945. Look it up. And that doesn't even include countries where CIA toppled democratically elected government to install dictator (Iran), nor countries where CIA admitted to rigging election results (Italy), nor counting countries USA invaded multiple times (Iraq).

But in the big picture, USA is still far far behind the world leader in invading countries and killing innocent civilians (bringing civilization to savages). That particular crown remains with Britain. So I wouldn't worry about it.

THEY HATE US CUZ THEY CAN'T BE US! All countries and cultures have done colonization of some sort and things that were wrong/bad/evil. By that logic, there is no "protagonist" in any of this. All countries and cultures have done corrupt things, and the U.K. has done more colonization then anyone else, and THEY are the protagonist?! But as much evil as the western world has done, and America has done, America has actually done more good for the world then anyone else in it's short time on as the nation we know it. We give more aid then anyone else, even for free. We were one of the first to get rid of slavery and make it a global thing. We gave women equal rights, if not the first to do that, expanded the life span threefold due to scientific medical breakthroughs, put the first man on the moon, came up with electricity, the car, the internet, the iPhone, cell phone, telephone, rock n roll, the blues, jazz, funk, the electric guitar, the freedom of speech, limited government, the right to bare arms, the cheeseburger, southern bbq, countless inventions in such a short time, Muhammed Ali, Wayne Gretzky, Michael Jordan, Bruce Lee, hollywood movies, Charles Bronson, Clint Eastwood, Michael Jackson, Chuck Berry, etc. I could go on, and on, and on with all of the great stuff America has brought you ingrate leftists.

As for LeafSenpai, don't be mad because we whooped you in the revolutionary war and broke away. Yeah, marching in single file in the woods wearing bright red, banging a bass drum, playing a flute, wearing big penis pope hats was a good idea We also whooped your navy, the used to be greatest navy on earth in a naval battle in the 1800's, finally making the world recognizing America as a world power to be taken seriously.

AMERICA, FUCK YEAH!

I was going to actually address the substance of your post, but I'm not going to waste my time. Humans don't form monolithic groups where they all think the same things and hold the same values. Not even the top echelon of politicians in the United States share the same vision of the country, even if they are of the same party or general ideology. Your post is silly and ill-conceived because the assertions it makes are worthless, lazy generalizations at best or misanthropic fabrications at worst.

I never said they did form monolithic groups and all hold the sam values. Please don't put words in my mouth. You won't address it because what YOU are saying is ill-conceived and worthless. Stop projecting, it's lazy way of insulting someone.

What I said wasn't a generalization, but the truth. We did do all of that shit, so what are you even talking about? You're not making much sense.

You have no argument, that's why you won't say anything. I won this debate. You lose.

No, the real reason the USA isn't a protagonist is, how the hell could a character introduced so late into the story be the main character? That's nonsense!

The real protagonist is either France or Britain. Probably Britain, because there's a reason we're discussing this in English.

I'd also throw China and Spain into there as possibilities.

This thread is about Hetalia, right?
