I don't think the US has ever been a protagonist.

Sure, there's some good things about it

But theres also some bad stuff too

Disgusting how you're all indoctrinated to think America was ever the greatest country in the world, it's not just the country that makes it the "protagonist". I am from the UK and if the UK and US went to war the world would side with the UK, its about the world setting and how many friends you have and I'm sorry US but the world hates you.

You want the US and Britain to go to war? Why would you even say something that extreme? I've always considered the Brits, Aussies and Canuks to be our best friends. Why even mention a conflict between 2 best friends? Do you not want to be friends any more? Are you one of those Brits who hates Americans? That's ok, because I and most people I know still love the Queen, and her subjects. Hate us if you want, but we still love you.

what, it'd get revealed that the queen is no friend of the people, be they american or british?

I'll be the elites have been roaring with laughter for decades upon decades at what they've been able to convince people of.

It seems to me that there is a multi-national conspiracy for mass depopulation or at the very least stingy control over majority of the worlds power and resources with the US and UK as top players in the game with many other countries contributing. If depopulation isn't the goal, I'd say maintaining great density of the populations is a key factor in controlling and subordinating the masses. As for being a protagonist, this is real life not some story, things are constantly shifting and moving its not based around any certain character or governing body and each person has their own individual perspective. It could be considered both a protagonist or antagonist depending on who you ask. PS: The US isn't truly in debt its just put all its money into the "black budget".

Relax, he's only one human being. Remember America has a heavily armed population. The President can't do shit w/o our consent. And the people are very unhappy. He can't go too far astray. We also like to impeach when we have to.

Not quite, its suffering from....

-having control over its currency and its value, generation stolen
--legalized counterfeiting by the central bank, removal of real asset backing the currency

-having all 3 branches of fedgov compromised
--2 party system lockup, super entrenched power structure at the top
--=only preapproved candidates get to higher office (Trump appears to be an outlier) who then make things that should go through congress just get passed by regulatory fiat instead
--state representation in federal government removed via 17th amendment
--judicial lockup and corruption has largely prevented any squeaky clean judge from reaching scotus in last....#? years)
--congressional buyoffs via lobbying, exemption from insider trading

-regulatory quasi state emerging and becoming an end run around congress to get regulations done; laws stay unspecified

-warfare state far beyond what is authorized by the constitution
--police forces and agencies with undelegated powers (fbi, cia, nsa, all of dubious at best constitutional authority)

-welfare state far beyond what is authorized by the constitution

-corporate welfare and writeoff loopholes

-economy way too tied to the dealings of wall st, completely unnecessary

well....that's just a couple, off the top of my head....nothing short of the complete subversion of the country, since its inception.

Though some would like us to believe that Australia is subservient to either the US or China, this view is an oversimplification of our unique relationship with respective countries. While I would prefer Australia to take a more independent approach to foreign relations, our current relations with the US have served us well, and will continue to do so into the future.

If the US decided to close all military bases, the intelligence community would be severely crippled, hampering the ability of key agencies to prevent future terrorist attacks. Furthermore, it would incapacitate US spy satellites, rendering it impossible for US forces to detect possible threats from rogue states.

When you have no argument, resort to ad-hominem.

Wrong, I explained my argument in previous posts on this thread. Someone took down my reply to this comment.
