Masami Kurumada's mythology and a bit of pro-wrestling fight manga Saint Seiya (aka Knights of the Zodiac) launched in Shonen Jump on January 1, 1986. Before its 30th anniversary closes out, Red Champion #2, on sale December 19, will be announcing plans to adapt Chimaki Kuori's gender-swap spin-off Saint Seiya -Saintia Shou-.

The premise is set up that after the Gold Saint Saga, a class of female Saints is brought in to protect Athena.

I'm surprised Saint Seiya is still getting animated projects even though Saint Seiya Omega was a disaster. I'll still watch it just for nostalgia, I loved this show when I was a kid and even though it was never popular in the US, it was just as popular as Dragon Ball everywhere else, so I'm excited to see how this story turns out.

Been meaning to get into Saint Saiya but I'm holding out until I can find the Knights of the Zodiac version. Glad to see its still getting some love though. What was wrong with Omega?
