So apparently crunchyroll region locked me out?

I don't understand. I live on a US Military base and have a military IP address.
I can watch American Netflix and Hulu just fine. Did they not include overseas bases?
It seems weird they would region blocked so many Americans from watching anime.

I just checked on Facebook military groups and apparently it stopped working on around June 29th. Did you guys exclude US Bases? You need to be clear so people will cancel their memberships/stop signing up if that is the case.

It's more likely the ISP for the bases got a new block of IP addresses that has not been tagged as US by the geolocation service used by CR. If that's the case, there's nothing CR can do until the databases keeping track of IP address locations is updated to reflect that change.

The base is nowadays using a Japanese provider to provide the internet on base. I don't know how it used to be before, but it currently resolves just the same as a Japanese home internet connection.

It still sounds like a IP geolocation database problem, however, based on shellyxiong stating, "I can watch American Netflix and Hulu just fine."

Hulu and Netflix aren't necessarily using the same geolocation service, and probably have more pull to get updates out if they see complaints from active service members.

Uh oh.... I'm going to be deploying there sometime in the future..... anyone know if it's been resolved by now or if there's a reasonable fix? I'd rather not go the better part of a year without any of my shows. At that point I might as well put my subscription on hold.
