Based off a novel that I am working on.

What would you do if you woke up from a cryogenic slumber with no memory of what happened before? But you are not alone for one hundred other people were also placed in cryogenic sleep only to wake up with lost memories. You then soon discover that humanity has long perish from the planet leaving you and the one hundred others. Now you and the other people will have to start new live and rebuild a new civilization. But there is a problem. Everywhere you turn there are working cameras following after you and everyone else which means someone is watching. But who is watching? The person or thing watching is trying to create a show to see how long can people last in such a harsh environment. Soon terrifying and strange things start to happen to you and the other people.

If you were in this situation, what would you do?

100 people just seems like way too many people. Whats the point?

What would I do? if this is realty you would just live. This wouldn't be fiction, so you would basically live or die in any circumstance with no real motive for both, because the world is gone, and you're basically a vegetable when it comes to knowledge.

so either way you're going to have a bad time, and a pointless life from there on. I'm not sure how fiction would stand against such an event.

You really think one hundred is too much? I was thinking that one or three might be too little.

((interesting novel you're doing))

well i chose other basically; i'd combine two options: i'd probably go a bit insane (actually i'd just have a lot of anxiety) so i would later on go and discover who is watching me and for what purposes, not alone though because it could be dangerous, i'd probably take my closest friends who are willing to find out as well leaving the rest of the people to rebuild their own lives

I hate to break it to you but, your closest friends aren't with you. Meaning you're surrounded by strangers. You can either make new friends or go alone.

heck thats depressing, geeeez i'd probably be a depressed person with anxiety (at first) i'd first rebuild myself, get confidence, motives for surviving, ect then make some trustworthy friends willing to figure out whats going on with me

10 people.

Just try to look at this in a way you can actually handle.

someone can focus on 10 people, Someone can focus on 11 people, even 20, but in the end who is supporting? Who is leading? You can kill off 80 people, and people would still have trouble focusing on 20 people. If you leave 10, that means we can at least value those characters, since if numbers were to dwindle we can determine whether or not we can actually have concern for low numbers.

The lower the number, the better. We can have 1000 people, but it still wont matter when the whole purpose of a story is to have focus driven by the characters.

even with 100 people you wouldn't know how fast you can rebuild humanity. Would anyone really care? even with 10 people you wouldn't know how fast you can rebuild humanity, would anyone really care? If there is a reason the world is gone, then why not have a handful of people try to figure it out? We can reach out with more people, but how many people actually have anything useful to offer?

out of those 100 people, which ones would you actually focus on? 10- 20 see what I mean?

Alright, I'll lessen it to ten people only.

I'll have to redo the prologue over to make changes.

I think I would continue on trying to rebuild my life while slowly going insane

Seems kinda similar to that show "The 100," but I know it's not.

Anyways, I would probably try to figure out who was watching me.
