Alderamin of the Sky didn't make any of the choices? Very hard to take this at all seriously?

Should have been a shoe in for Best Anime, Best Hero, Best Heroine, and Best OP.

Hate to break it to everyone but ALL awards are fixed. They are bought and paid for promotional tools. I don't care if they did add the "other" option, it's almost unnoticeable and the majority of people will still vote for the nominees because it's easier. The write in votes will be too spread out. Amazon must have paid CR a ton, it's no coincidence Kabenari is nominated in every category AND at the top of every page.

Kabenari deserves to be in the running for some of the awards though... Best Animation, Best OP... Best Guy? And if we had a larger pool of Nominees for Anime of the year, I would be ok with it being there, in the bottom of the pack with flip flappers, too.

I don't think anyone other than me has this problem but I can't vote?
When I go to the page where it should show the option it just says "This poll will start at 03.01.2017 11:00:00"
Does anyone know what I can do to fix it?

Re ZERO SHOULD DOMINATE THIS ENTIRE AWARD SHOW. I am upset that for MOST HEART WARMING REM and SUBARU are not up there but i am happy that you can stress your opinion on who you believe should win that specific category by voting other and writing who you believe should win. IF you have not seen Re ZERO.....DO SO NOW!!!

It sounds like next year they should wait until the fall season has ended before they start collecting nominees. Listening to a video with Glass Reflection's Arkada talking with Miles it seems like Arkada regrets some of the nominees he put in because it was before shows had finished and his opinions on some shows had changed by the time they had finished.

I have one complaint about the nominees, and that is the lack of diversity. There are a lot of repeats that are literally overhyped.

Well going by the fact it looks like they only asked 7 people ( all of them you tubers?) and only took 4 for each category that's going to happen. What seems strange to me is that at least 1 of them sent in the picks before eps 7 of yuri!!! on ice? How can you know something is anime of the year before it's more than 1/2 way done. Not saying that yuri wasn't as good in the last 1/2 but how often does an anime start off great only to go down hill?

Standard practice for award shows as long as a release is screened in a limited manner before the cutoff date for nominations you can get in a category. Now granted we're talking about multi-week series here instead of a one off movie so there should be some clarification/tweaks made to their process.

Thank you, it seems to have been all too quickly relegated to a realm where all forgotten anime go. Perhaps explaining why so few recall it. Especially for the "most heartwarming" section.

Too bad these awards are a joke; like virtually the same 5 CR titles for every nomination. Remind me of the Academy Awards.

People who from LA, and "awards", need not be placed into the same sentence....

The judges' list is on the first page of the thread:

Miranda Sanchez - Editor at IGN Entertainment
LeSean Thomas - Animation producer, director (The Boondocks & Black Dynamite), creator of Crunchyroll’s upcoming project Children of Ether
Xavier Woods - WWE superstar and known anime-lover, aka Austin Creed
Matt Schley - Otaku USA Magazine
Yomimaid - Event Chair at San Francisco Anime Festival & Cosplay
Tristan Gallant - Glass Reflection
Lauren Orsini - Otaku Journalist
Only one of them is a youtuber.
