Does CR even have forum mods or even respond, seem like they give two shits to what their subscribers care about. The comments on this thread are legit and not one response from CR. Simply disgusting customer care. They do realize that we (the suscribers) keep the lights on and feed them. They are definitely biting that hand by offering up such a poor excuse for an award selection, and reeking of marketing agenda. Do tgey have no shame. SMH!!!

wasn't even kidding. I am so appalled at the bad decisions made in the nomination process. I guess people like me and our tastes don't matter, so if we don't matter than my money doesn't matter.

There's 13 pages filled with better arguments without resorting to Terms of Service website violations, but the real question is why many of you think people on CR actually have taste as the staff constantly pander pander pander their own preferences.

Well would you look at that. Kabaneri didn't win anything despite, for some unexplainable reason, being nominated for everything. Go figure.

Rakugo not winning anything is a crime. Yuri on Ice winning so many things is disappointing but not a surprise at all given the methodology.

Alright, so next time can we do this differently?

1.) Categories should be taken from the seasonal forum polls
2.) At least some of the nominees if not all of the nominees should be taken directly from the seasonal forum polls
3.) If there are going to be write ins, the write ins should be done before the actual voting so that they can be included as proper nominees and not just recorded as last minute "Others" (I still feel the additions of "write ins" was a last minute knee jerk response when it became clear just how unhappy the community was with the given nominees)
4.) There should be a limit on how many categories a single show can be nominated for
5.) Nominees should be vetted such that they actually make sense (Kayo and Satorou is explicitly not a couple)

Basically, if you're going to make it a popularity contest then you should at least put more weight on the community right from the start.
If you're trying to make it a critics/insiders/professionals/etc. award set, then put the effort into actually having the experts hash it out themselves and forgo the community voting altogether.

How YOI won best animation over Mob will be one of the grandest mysteries of all time. Don't get me wrong, the ice skating animation was great but that was greater than the unique animation and the usage of oil pastel (especially in the ED) of MP100?

Rakugo is still criminally underrated even to this day. I'm glad I gave this show a try and got instantly hooked when it didn't interest me at first.

This was definitely a nefarious plot by the CR admins to make y'all cry. Nothing else could possibly explain it.

Shamless marketing sums it up, if you're looking for an explanation. A child like yourself would only think of it as a "nefarious plot".

A lot of good anime and character's weren't even choices so I couldn't decide properly on half of these considering I chose to watch those anime over what were actually in the running.

If I got any real say so 91 days, bungou stray dogs, utawarerumono, Ushio & Tora, the Morose Mononokean, and Alderamin on the sky would have all been options some where. Felt very limited especially since mob psycho, hero academia, yuri on ice, and Erased filled up most of the options, two of which I have yet to watch.
