It is all going to the same place but I mean it also depends on what's touching so it doesn't taste gross.

If it tasted good I eat it.

So would you prefer to have your corn and mash potatoes on separate sides of the plate where they aren't even near each other?

No, I don't mind if they touch; I'm just opposed to them being mixed with each other.

Alright then.

MIX IT ALL TOGETHER AND LAUGH!!!

Actually I eat my cereal dry then after every bite of cereal I drink some milk so my cereal is always crunchy and not soggy :D

I've never heard or thought of that and that's actually really smart, I might try it out some time.

To the topic question: I share food with my girl friends and we use each others' utensils, so you can see that food touching other food bothering me would be really weird. I understand that people can get mysophobic about it but honestly I don't see why as long as the person brushes and all that jazz, it's like the 3 second rule, yea the bacteria latches on but it's never actually going to hurt you so you're really just scared of nothing, if anything your immune system could use the contamination.

Personally, I mix my mashed potatoes with my corn.

As a supertaster the food I eat tends to be very bland from other people's perspectives and so with such inoffensive natures their mixing together is not that big of a concern to me. And while I suppose a main course mixing with a dessert would be awkward I can't but help and wonder what nut job is serving dessert and the main course on the same plate. Not that it is all that big of a concern to me as I do not indulge in anything remotely sweet as refined sugar is one of the biggest health hazards in modern day food.

I don't want the vinegar from the spinach to run into the porkchop and make the breading all soggy and gross.

Tbh I hate when I have two side dishes touching each other ;( so I got used to only getting one side dish at a time. And also, since I'm asian (and yes I need rice 92% of the time!), sometimes I use rice to make a wall between my side dishes they can touch the rice all they want but not each other!!

I like to serve things separately sometimes.
