I'm finding it hilarious none of the CR staff is even bothering to comment on here.

cr has anime awards

I mean, this is all true, but do you really have to complain so much? It's not like they had to do this, and if you all want better choices, just make your own awards.

^ If complaints prove to be beneficial for revenue it usually ends up being a positive thing.
These are the kind of things you want to support, i'm suspicious if CR will listen but it never hurt anyone to try.

Also making different stream services rivals and ostracizing those choices isn't a very smart choice either.
If CR provided free advertisement with Netflix for say.. Kuromukuro it more than likely would benefit both.

The community isn't stupid and a list this biased really doesn't benefit anyone. I mean CR even has the data in their forums every season with well organized threads that wouldn't take long to browse. But everyone knows what they're doing.

CR are all about that sweet sweet moneys.

Seriously though the only people seeing these anime awards are people who already use Crunchyroll a lot. There's really no need to advertise and push these shows on us. We know you're bsing us.

*Looks at Hero of the Year.

*Sigh

When will people learn that doing noble things does not make a noble person? You can do things for ignoble or selfish reason that are morally efficacious. The lascivious, money grubbing bounty hunter who rescued the princess is still a lascivious, money grubbing bounter hunter.

Best boy instead of best guy? Closing instead of EDs? Sure I can understand the bias in selecting the preferred anime by the staff, but really? Is CR being run by normies to not even get the terminology right?

Should anyone care? I heard best boy many times, as well as closings. Of all the things, this is what one complains about?

I was surprised Konosuba isn't in the AOTY category.

Why even have a "Best Villain" category if you aren't going to nominate Petelgeuse Romanee-Conti.

Without him, Re:Zero is absolute trash.

Whoever made the nominations had a serious exaggerated obsession with motherfucking Yaoi on Ice. And why isnt Tales of Zestiria being nominated for best animation? It's Ufotable for crying out loud. Why isnt Flip Flappers being nominated for best Ending? Its obviously one of the few too good to skip. And finally why the fuck isnt JoJo's Bizarre Adventure nominated for anime of the year or even best fight scene? it definitely has all that.

While I'm not a fan of the story in Kabaneri I have to admit I agree it belongs in the animation category. While the plot may have been lacking the animation style was eye-catching and held throughout the series.

Wow... It's hard not to see that absolute lack of any real diversity. It's even harder not to notice a clear bias towards some shows that definitely don't belong in some categories. Some... well, most of those nominations are just plain laughable, but hey... as ridiculous as it is, I'm sure the judges did their best.

You must have missed the rest of my post. Sure not a big deal, but I was including it in the context as a whole of what CR is doing wrong with this. If it was a singular mistake, who cares. Bump after bump, you wouldn't notice?

I keep saying they should allow an option to add an entry with a "Other:" choice. The nominations feel like fans are forced to choose from those. Might as well have left it as an exclusive awards selection within CR and their partners.
