Hmm, according to the bishop the guy is actually a member of the congregation of the church too:

Oh yeah that church. We (Trump supporters) made a gofundme to rebuild that church.

Interesting that the article doesn't mention if Andrew McClinton is a Republican or Democrat. Or were the words 'Vote Trump' not written by him possibly? If he was pro-Trump and did it for attention and to get people to vote for Trump, it seems an odd way to do that. There were plenty of other, legal, ways of advertising for people to vote for Trump. There are too many holes to that story so far.

I'm not sure we could trust his words at this point...

Who's words, Andrew McClinton's? And if that's what you're getting at, who's to say that we can trust the authorities words on it or the article about it? This past election has proven that you can't trust the media at any level.

Because if there's one thing we know about Trump it's... How anti-christian he is? Huh?

I'm not sure if we can trust the words of the arsonist that sprayed Trump on the church and burned it down. It looks like someone tried to obviously frame Trump supporters as being crazy which would mean they weren't a Trump supporter/Republican. Why would you spray Trump on the side of the building only to burn it down, it feels like a setup. The guy will probably say he is Republican to continue to make Trump supporters look bad since that seems to be the whole point of this.

Um, that's exactly what I was trying to get at with all of my previous posts, that the whole thing seems like a setup. Or at least the arrest does.

Since it was a Black people's church that was burned, with the "Vote Trump", graffiti. I fully expected the perp to be White.... What a twist! The suspect arrested turns out to be Black, and his name is McClinton!

Well, the police don't think he was politically motivated. Just staged it that way. So that leaves nutball reasons ( he was angry at the rest of the congregation or something ), stupid criminal reasons ( he has a long history of robbery, etc. He could have been looting the place and lit it up to hide the evidence ) or insurance scam ( unlikely as he's not a member of the church's staff ).

Although I think we all need to take a moment to acknowledge its kind of fubar that Mississippi has a "first degree arson of a place of worship" law and it comes with a maximum sentence of 30 years. Which is 10 years higher than the maximum sentence for manslaughter in Mississippi.

So he'd actually face 10 years less on a charge if someone had died in the fire than setting the fire itself. >.>
