Got this game on Steam recently. Anyone played it before? I've finished the first main quest and some side quests and hope to complete the game in a few months. I've been playing with a slow pace so far but might put a lot more time into it.

Not going to lie though, the lore and visual quality of this game is amazing.

It's a great game. I loved the story and enjoyed the gameplay. If you do all the side quests, expect to spend a lot of time with this game.

If you enjoy the story, I strongly recommend you read the book series that the games were based on.

This game is solid 7/10 for me. It would have gotten higher but it's dlc is locked behind some ridiculous level caps.

I had played the first two, enjoyed them quite a lot. Strangely, I bought the third in the installment and can't even convince myself to play past the first quest. I will say that the visuals are absolutely stunning and the gameplay would be awesome. It's just that it doesn't resonate with me for some reason or another.

Currently playing the Hearts of Stone expansion. Expect to spend 150+ hours on it, especially if you're gonna collect all of the Gwent cards.

i saw this game on sale for $20 (with GCU).. some definitive bundle? i think it has most of the dlcs..

i heard of the horrible loading time on this game

1min and 9 on SSD !! for base ps4 (fat/slim)

on pc i think the load is only 28 seconds?

SSDs will not make a lot of difference on the PS4 pro either.. only 2-3 seconds faster

but the stock hdd will load laster though.. i guess with SATA III it will help with conventional hdd and ssshd.. but not so much with ssd.

the bottleneck is still there with consoles..

maybe with the next gen (PS5?) .. we will finally able to fully utilize SSD max speed..

SATA III have been around for how long now? so have them to still use it in current gaming console is

If it's the game of the year edition, then you have all DLCs.

If it's some other bundle and you want to check if the expansions are included (there is a bunch of other free minor DLCs), the game only has 2 expansions :
- Heart of Stone
- Blood and Wine

sorry.. definitive edition was Metal Gear Solid 5 not Witcher 3

Compete edition is the one for The Witcher 3 (there's no GOTY edition though)

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-complete-edition-playstation-4/5560400.p?skuId=5560400

it went back up to $50 now

"Complete Edition includes the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansion packs, which offers a massive 50 hours of additional storytelling as well as new features and new areas that expand the explorable world by over a third"

looks like the complete edition included everything..

honestly.. these versions are confusing -- now the trend is to release different game versions with various bonus exclusive to specific retailers

day one edition? deffinitive edition, remastered, complete edition, game of the year, steel book edition, early enlister edition, singature edition, special editition, colletor's edition etc...

for some games.. you have to use some wiki page to keep track of all the versions of the game!!

I'm enjoying it and I didn't playthrough the second or the first. The story and side missions are really good and theres never really a seemingly right or wrong choice, as the character your playing as doesn't give fuck really. Characters are memorable. The lore seems more realistic or adult instead of fairy tale. Gameplay is good as well. The whole detective aspect of it is really nice. I haven't decided to touch the DLC yet until I beat the main game.
