Does anyone remember the California ufo sighting over downtown la about 2 years ago that first started out as a ufo mass sighting but then a short while later the us navy made an announcement that it accidently fired a tomahawk cruise missile over downtown la. What ever happened with that because someone should have been arrested and formally charge and discharged from the navy if they accidently fired a tomahawk cruise missile over a high density us city. Not only that but someone by now in ca or Nevada should have found a impact crater or the missile it self by now. This brings strikingly similar reports of the phoenix ufo incident in 97 that the air force said it accidently dropped military flares and that's what caused that. Has anyone found any military flares in phoenix as far as I know no one has. I cant check but I was talking to one of my friends in shanghai about this but a lot of stuff is blocked in china.

If someone accidently fired off a tomahawk you can pretty much bet your ass they were stationed in somewhere in Antarctica for the rest of their tour.

It wasn't an accident it was a test launch and it wasn't over downtown LA it was within the navy's pacific test range.

Does look pretty spectacular though.

That is not a Tomahawk cruise missile, that is a Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile. The kind that lobs nukes thousands of miles inland, from sea.

Polaris & Poseidon Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM):

Tomahawk cruise missiles are these:

The op is trying to recall something they don't remember clearly and this is the only incident that seems to fit the details and general timeframe the op described. If you want to be pointlessly argumentative about details then direct it at the op.

And for the record a an Ohio class sub can be ( and has been ) fitted with Tomahawks. So you'll forgive the op if a Tomahawk capable class of vessel conducting classified test firings in a firing range usually reserved specifically for testing cruise missiles might make a mistake on the type of missile being fired. Its not as if the Navy is going to step forward and specify for him.

TL;DR: You're technically correct but there was no need for you to demonstrate it.

Damn! You sure are touchy! I did not say one mean or obnoxious thing, and instantly you turn it into a thing! Cut it out already!

I was just pointing out that it was a ballistic missile that was in that video, and not the Tomahawk cruise missile. I wasn't trying to be mean! I even added an old Saturday Night Live Skit to add some laughs to my post.

You are just being a bitter ass! Knock it off, already!

Given the tone you take with me on the forums 99% of the time you'll forgive me if I no longer give you the benefit of the doubt when you respond to a post.

Now children, let's behave. No need to resort to arguing over nothing.

Lately, I've found it much easier to post here if you take each post at face value and not read past arguments and remarks into them. Just about every one of us is guilty of pissing someone else off here. It's very easy to color the tone of someone's text to match your feelings of them. I'm not that great at it yet, but it gets easier with practice and a conscious effort.

As I type this, I can imagine how someone who has a problem with me, could easily take this post as a vailed insult, or criticism. But in all honestly It's just me relaying some of my personal experience.

I know this, deep down. But holy shit this place sometimes. Especially over this election cycle. Its sincerely hard to keep this in mind sometimes. Especially when half the time lately you can't tell who is an actual human being underneath all the yelling and who is just a troll or a complete lunatic.

I appreciate you demonstrating you're the former though. It'll make it easier to keep that in mind next time we're hissing at each other and throwing furniture. -.-
