1 - Programming/Coding
2 - Gaming
3 - Mathematics
4 - Walking/Exploring
5 - Traveling (kind of the same as 4, so I'll go one further)
6 - Engineering/Architectural Design

I've been programming since I was six years old (Commodore 64 - BASIC), been gaming since I was two years old (beat Zelda while sitting down at a Circuit City where my mother's boyfriend used to work). Walking, Exploring and Traveling are kinds of an "all-in-one" sort of thing; seeing as I'm not the type to go for tourist traps while traveling. I like exploring areas/regions that tourists normally don't bother going to, to get an idea of local culture and how things are at a local scale (for that town/city).

I have a master's degree in Mathematics - so it's kind of my "thing" (passion and drive), despite using my Computer Science degree for my current job (there we go with the programming again). I keep notebooks and happen to write down metrics and numbers, then perform calculations based on of them (like how often do lights in a specific neighborhood change and how to optimize your route based off of the time you're leaving, when it's more beneficial to lease something or buy it outright based off of the APR, credit line (impact to your credit), and similar things like that). Engineering/architecture are things that I developed an interest in after an old friend (who has a masters in mechanical engineering) gave me all of his old graduate-level coursework/textbooks. I've been learning more about engineering and design since then.

so this is why there's a console gamer who will put a 2TB Samsung EVO SSD ($660) in his $400 console system

I collect religious art.
Recently I purchased a Japanese silk painting of the Virgin Mary from 1960.

That's the gist of things. I'm always overpowering most of my hardware, needlessly so. I have a desktop computer that's powerful enough to run any game known to man at 60-120fps and barely game on it (spend most of the time just posting on CR and hanging out in Discord channels on it while I'm working). Go figure...

I have to admit, that's pretty damn awesome. I have some Japanese pieces (mostly textbooks and some art). Personally not one for religious paintings (outside of an art museum) but that does look really good for its age too.

I'm gonna buy this Chinese painting next. I love these Asian depictions of the Virgin Mary because they mix Catholicism and Buddhism.
They are rare to find because most people think that the person depicted is Guan Yin and not the Virgin Mary.

are there a lot of games on pc that have 120fps?

is there a huge difference with 120fps ? the gaming section of this forums is not as active as i thought it would be..

it's interesting to see so many political threads on an anime site

i read a few of them at first.. but like COD, Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors.. etc.. i realized it that it's pretty much the same recycled stuff

Yes 120 fps is way smoother. There are alot of games with 120 fps on pc! I play on a 60hz monitor but I used a 120hz monitor for gaming a few times and its like a new world opening up.

1- I started going to the gym a week ago and I'm trying to get buff.
2- Watching anime but I watch less anime than I used to. (idk why but out of nowhere I lost a bit of interest in the things I loved doing before)
3- I'm also a member of an animeclub.
4- Gaming
5- Watching documentaries
6- I'm probably going to start learning Japanese in January. I want to travel to Japan sometime.

It's pretty interesting to find how various places interpret art, especially of religious-influenced pieces.
Doesn't Guan Yin generally have a "halo" of light around her? I guess that's where some of the conflict/confusion would come from, to a degree. The child could show a sign of Guan Yin's "mercy" of a child for whatever reason.
It's a good hobby to get into, personally. It's interesting and shows a unique perspective on religion as a whole.

There aren't a ton of games that can run at 120fps.
I tested my desktop's capacity for it by using Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut (both on Steam). The majority of the time, you're mostly going to find First Person Shooters that focus on the capacity to play at 120fps.
The difference between 90fps and 120fps is kind of minimal -> but the difference from 60fps to 90/120fps is pretty clear/obvious depending on the game.

As for the political threads here, it is mostly recycled stuff stated in an slightly different way in order to get the same message out (this goes for either political extreme). I guess people want to be opinionated regardless of where the location of their tirades may actually be.

minimal difference from 90 ->120fp ? .. i guess visual acuity comes into play again.. even if you are sitting how far away from the monitor?

the current hype of pc gaming is 240hz or something?

At the moment my hobbies are gaming and watching YouTube videos.

I tend to take my gaming very seriously so it takes up almost all of my free time. I can never just be a filthy casual.
