1. First and foremost, I love to build and program electronic devices. A lot of the stuff I tend to build are robotic vehicles and projects related to signal processing. Currently, working on a project that will let me toggle a lamp with consecutive claps.
2. I suppose reading and watching anime are my next two hobbies. Right now I'm mostly watching Gintama but mostly reading Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency.
3. Dark Souls.

Wow, you managed to get them out of their boxes. Nice display, nanikore2. All of mine are still in boxes awaiting Publishers Clearinghouse arrival or lottery ticket win (never gonna happen as I won't buy 'em) to afford display cases. I'm collecting the Saekano characters also as well as Fate / Zero, etc ad nauseum.

No doubt you're an MFC site member? I'm over there also but using a different username and avi.

Thanks. If you're willing to spare roughly the amount of cash for a moderately-high priced figure, you could get a cabinet at IKEA. The one I got is this one:

http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60128562/

Then you'd need to rig it up with lights, which isn't difficult with those self-adhesive light strips that people sell on eBay.

Ah, a fellow appreciator of Saekano! I presume you also preordered Megumi in this "dressing" series of figures? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I wanted to display them without their skirts on but wife would definitely disapprove

I do browse MFC from time to time but I haven't registered. You know, I try not to look up MFC too much because I know I'd probably end up buying three more cabinets worth of figures if I do...

I did buy a display case several years ago that is about 7' tall and 3-4' across with glass shelving (heavy) and sliding glass front door. When I lived in SW Missouri I had it displaying replica trains and diecast model trucks. Now at this residence (married now) it presides down in the basement crammed full of Attack on Titan figurines still in their respective boxes.

MFC site is a real Godsend but you are correct in assessment of wallet drain if you frequent site at all. I used to buy them over here but periodically the vendors wouldn't get their entire order, guess who would get shorted, run would be sold out. I PO 95% of my wants via Japan vendors direct and pay in Yen. I've gotten all of my PO's using that route.

I had no idea how frenzied this hobby can be.....LOL.

Thanks for your reply, nanikore2. I'll give Ikea a try once the diecast trucks are totally sold downstairs (ebay). Yes, I'm trying to get all the girls of Saekano! in their kimono attire also. With Aniplex handling the franchise sadly they won't be inexpensive (boo hoo that)

I do have a few PVC items wife tolerates but they must be hidden from prying eyes of nieces and nephews who come over during family get togethers. I'm so naive re teens: I thought they were into anime but the harsh reality was the boys wanted to view the "soft porn" of PVC while the girl was getting ideas. I wanted to give 2 of the 3 kids something for their B-Day and both wanted something PVC-related after visiting the inner sanctum. Ultimately gave each a Magi prize figure after failing on 3 attempts trying to award them something PG 13 loli (which did NOT pass parental approval). Something about lolis wearing adult bedroom attire....what was I thinking (it's apparent I've never had kids). My wife figured it out lightning fast. Basement is off-limits to anyone under age 18 now.

oops didn't see this reply until now... Yeah I'm glad I don't have to worry about house visitors much at all. Neither my wife nor I have much of any extended family to deal with and most all of visitors are adults.

If I have kid relatives on my gift list, I'd just buy them some inexpensive games from Steam and gift some game keys LOL
