Oh come on man! What's next, showing Prime getting trashed by Megatron or Duke getting the snake to the chest?

Oh my Goddess, you just had to pick one of the saddest scenes to show from that movie, didn't you? And yes, I know exactly what that movie is and I knew instantly, and it's one of my favorites of all times.

I would agree that an all benevolent god does not exist. My God is not willing to grant immortality to sinners so that their evil could continue for all times. He rejects all those that will not follow him or his ways. Sinners will be punished equally by the sins that the had done on the earth and then they will experience the second death from which there is no resurrection.

I would never pray to an all benevolent god because some people do not deserve love or kindness.

But this goes all against the God of the bible or is your god from another book/religion?

If your god is the God of the bible then you're not reading his book his book says that he is benevolent and forgiving no matter what you did.

He came for the sinners, if you are not a sinner you don't need God and he says that everyone is a sinner. Are you a sinner? his book also says that all sins are equal, which means that a white lie is the same as killing someone. No one is safe from death but forgiveness is given to everyone who repents from their hearts and not from word only.

Take David for example. He killed a man because he wanted to fuck that man's wife. God punished him by killing the baby that was born from that affair, David repented and God forgave him.

Then take David's son, the King Salomon. One of God's rules is to not worship other gods and Salomon had many women, almost 900!! from all those women came different beliefs and gods and Salomon forgot about God from the bible and started worshipping the gods from his women. That was his only sin. God didn't forgive him, Salomon didn't become one of his. He didn't realize his mistake and didn't repent.

Which sin was greater? in God's eyes they're the same but only those who truly repent will be forgiven. So, no matter how bad your sin is, there is always hope.

We are definitely not reading the same book. The bible I read provided laws where harsher punishments were dealt to those that had committed more severe sins. Unless you can provide a verse to demonstrate that all sins are equal in God's eyes then I will have to continue to believe that some sins are more worse than others.

God is benevolent and forgiving to whom that repents from their sins, those that do not turn from their sins will not inherit immortality or be given to live in his kingdom. I will not have to look far to counter your claims that "he is benevolent and forgiving no matter what you did", I guess you have already heard about the "unforgiveable sin" and many wars that the ancient Israelites started to wipe out their enemies. How does this fit into your view?

I do believe a god type being did exist at one point in the past but he either left or gave up on humanity most likely sometime between the great flood and the start of the dark ages and all we have left if stories and legends that have been past down threw the ages. Also if there was a god the world would not be the way it is today considering we are closer then effect to mutually assured destruction and we haven't been this close since the Cuban missile crises though we are still a ways off but it should have never been allow to happen.

So God doesn't exist because he doesn't behave the way you expect him to. That's a shallow argument.

Also, the popular thinking that God is not loving because bad things are happening in the world is also pretty shallow. If we accept that he is a superior being we also accept we cannot understand why he does or doesn't some things. We just expect him to act like a human would do, from our own (limited) point of view. I don't really believe in Christianity or Bible. I do belive in a God, though. I have my own personal reasons for believing, but I cannot prove to anybody he exists.

Another point I don't understand is why so many people link the existence of God to the Bible. For example, turning arguments against Bible to arguments against God. Not only against the Christian God, but against the existence of a God in general. Which is again shallow.

Science and existence of a God don't exclude each other. I don't get why so many think that way...

All I know is Jesus, Vishnu, Taurus, Osiris, Odin, Muhammad all wait in line for seconds just like me
That we are put together by masses of eternal trinkets of matter from the cosmos in the bathroom
And that they disappear and reappear like worlds between matter
That mountains, seas, and sidewalks won't justify this
But they will serve
Serve like universes

So you think that God should remove the most important gift given to man, Free Will?

I'm not religious, but still, it sounds like you think one of the key things that was supposed to have been bestowed upon humanity should be taken away. Pssh Chuck likes it when we screw things up, it keeps it more interesting for him, and lets him write his books! (Kudos to anyone who gets the reference :P)

Sort of... The whole forbidden fruit thing which got man tossed from Eden was suppose to represent in some way the enlightenment or sin of knowledge. So now we need rules to maintain our existence and can't rely simply on faith. There is dangerous belief that a collective will can somehow get us back to Eden.
