Actually the Americas are every country in the world because every country in the world belongs to America.

I have seen this on the internet, someone from Europe or Asia will point out a flaw about America, only for some American to reply OMG lol hehe there is no such country as America, it's the United States of America! America is a continent lol omg what a loser!

Calling it America is no different to calling it the United States, both are shortened forms of it's full name The United States of America. And as the above points out, it's the only country with America in it's name.

I know it as North America, Central America (the little strip of land separating the two continents) and South America.

Well, he's trying to reassure Canada that "America" also means a continent--
And that Canadian indigenous natives don't have to call themselves "First Nation" because they're nationalistically offended at being called "Native Am******s".

Two hundred years of paranoia runs deep and cultural in the blood of Canada's veins.

Alaska thinks it's not part of America anyway, and Hawaii keeps wanting to declare tribal war against the mainland.
