Dunno how everyone feels, but I used to be a game hoarder for past couple of years. But this year around the impulsive purchases had stopped from continuing hoarding.

Even now there are games from my wishlist on Sale on Steam, GoG or Origin that are quite old games, but I'm not buying anything right now. Plus since steam has dropped the flash deals and dailys a sometime ago, I don't need to even check everyday for another game to buy.

But I could say that I'm still a hoarder after all since I'm at about 37% of played games of my 289 games own on steam platform, so yeah the other 63$% is not played ;(. Though as others said, I also played through older games on other platforms and still purchased on steam for collection maybe I'll revisit em, unless steam goes down lol.

Not on STEAM, but on the old gen consoles/handheld, PS2, about 10% was not played... & for PS3 - probably 40%, Vita/PSP/PSone (digital) - 60%

Yeah, I'm a like that person, who buys a discounted game & then it takes years or several months before I actually play the game... like the Zero Escape's Virtue's Last Reward, I bought it 3yrs ago before the ZTD came out but I just played it in merely months before ZTD's release. ^_^;;

But ever since games, transitioned to the new gen console, I kinda stopped a little bit on shopping... but since I got a PS4 now, my PS4 games are piling up...

As for STEAM, I have 50% games I haven't played and probably it will increase more during this winter sale... ^_^;; Currently all my games on STEAM are Visual novels, so is my wishlist...

Most of my games on playstations are RPGs, like Alterier series/Disgaea/ ATLUS/NIS games, so it takes quite some time to finish a game, in which I feel like I don't have time to grind away my life at the moment, but then I still buy them whenever they're on sale >_<

Just watch, that console upgrade's coming first unless I'm never buying another console ever again.

I believe the reason why I'm the opposite of this is because my PC backlog just seems... I don't know, intimidating.
I have 228 games on Steam, I haven't played 77% of them. Granted, a lot of them are just nonsensical indie games that I picked up in a Humble/Indie Bundle of some sort - somewhere or another.
At the same time, I have a few AAA titles that I should probably work through at some point or another. It doesn't help when Internet friends have no clue what to get me for the holidays so they just buy something on my Wishlist (this and Winter Sales is how I went from 170 to 228 in less than a week).

But yeah, that console upgrade will probably happen sooner than you think. I built a new desktop recently which has spun some PC gaming lately, just not as much as I'd like.

57% of my steam games are unplayed. Mostly because I figure I will play them later and then never really do. The number got bumped up recently thanks to the yogscast jingle jam humble bundle though. Still, I am quite bad when it comes to getting games and not playing them.

I've been buying way too many DS and 3DS games since I got a 3ds two months ago. I'm going to have to set a limit of one game per finished game. I'm close to beating Virtue's Last Reward, and I'm halfway into finishing Fire Emblem Fates Birthright.

I have games I haven't played at all, games I've played for a few hours, and games I've gotten halfway through but dropped, but I don't have games that are still sealed. I have a few digital games I never actually played nor downloaded but it's good to know they're there.

An odd habit of mine is with JRPG's I find used and in pretty good condition. I buy them when I see them but never bother playing them. I have 3 Atelier games sitting on my shelf, some of the early PS3 JRPG's (Enchanted Arms and such), and quite a lot of PS2 games I never even looked at once I got them home.

Oh and the Wii games too. I keep buying rare, obscure Wii games and only play for about 10 minutes. The Trauma Center games, Pandora's Tower, and MadWorld to name a few.

While not as bad as some, I definitely have a number of titles in my library that I haven't played. Most are on Steam though. I only have two physical games that I've never played (Tomb Raider for the PS4, which I still plan to play someday, and Lego Lord of the Rings for the 360 which I just bought for co-op anyway).

I never buy a game with the intention of not playing it but I'm definitely attracted to a good price so will occasionally buy things based on the "I'll buy it now because of that price and I'll just get around to it some day" principle. I'm better about this than I used to be though.

Now, as for actually finishing games, I'm definitely guilty of finishing a fairly small percentage of the games I buy. In fact, often I'll quit things an hour or two in. I very rarely feel that I need to force myself to play something I'm just not digging, even if I've spent money on them. I'll give something a solid shot if it interests me but I'll drop it without feeling bad about it if it just isn't working (even if others throw up the "But it gets better later!" defense).
