I honestly don't remember why I started posting. I guess I just wanted to get involved in the community a bit. Nowadays, I just post to pass time when I'm bored, and to answer questions like the post above me said.

I think it's good to interact more with people. It teaches us to understand each other better, and that's really what has to happen if we ever want to change our society.

I post on the forms since I lack an outlet of some sort to focus my energy on and choose to squander my time reading other peoples opinions pretending to actually give a fuck and utilize the time spent to learn something but I usually don't and just mindlessly occupy my own headspace for the most part, though I do intentionally read others posts cause they act as a catalyst to further analyze certain things that I find enjoyable to think about but I don't really need a catalyst from here to actually do it. I want/need some sort of communication with other people even though most of the time I'm not conversing with people, perhaps I just want people to hear my thoughts cause I pretend they have some value to offer others whether that be comedic or something else, all in all for the most part It's really just a pointless, wasteful, and exhausting waste of my time (because I have somewhat of an understanding of what I actually want to do, and what isn't conducive to that, and how to get there as intelligently as I'm capable of at the moment) but I continue to engage because of what I said in the beginning.

Mindlessly occupying your own headspace is more useful than you might think: actually writing and responding to people coalesces the ideas in your head. Just writing something like the above might teach you about yourself.

Not likely in this case.

Hmm - how do you know? I often teach myself things when I write posts here, because I won't have realized beforehand how ideas go together.

For the entertainment value.

What parts are entertaining?

Many things, I enjoy the feels that flare up in posts. I like reactions from some people. I like the subtle humor that other's try to inject into the discussion. I love the posts that drip with sarcasm... There is just so much entertainment for free.

I post on the forums because of bored and to chit chat with people. But then you make a forum post for people to get along, but two people start fighting and get banned and get the forum locked. Good job on them

True, true. Sadly I don't think many people realize that and choose to be asocial. I never understood that. I feel like people should at least attempt to communicate with one another before closing off all social interaction.

Bored and used to using forums as my only social outlet.

Forums are pretty much dead and it's depressing.

Thats the funniest thing I never understood why I started posting on forums. For me it was out of interest, maybe it was fun. I guess when you boil down to it; there are some pretty great people on here, the forums.

I think of it as a learning ground, because every year people try more and more to connect with you.... well, along those lines what will bring with it every time we log on day after day, that's entirely our own choice. The only thing to consider is the benifit of others without conflicting with our own personal...... gain. We never leave injured, but to have shared with everyone a little piece of our own interest.

What can I really say. It has become a part of my life if you really think about it, but I regret nothing

OK maybe a few things...... but still worth it

Yea, I find that to be a cool part of the process and utilize/enjoy those moments though I also find the majority of the time the thoughts that arise along with it are nonsensical and useless most of the time when I really look at it (Which again is part of the process, it's part of being young, etc). But I find that inclination didn't arise naturally but is more of a self conditioned thing, and with that I find it kinda parasitic and limiting since it's my go to thing by default and by actively and frequently engaging in it I miss out on a great deal of experience that is always there but I can't see or see with a smudged lens if you catch my imagery.
