I do strongly recommend more teaching of life skill at school as much as books because I seen soo many booksmart kid, after graduating school, they did not even know how take care of themselve, they dont even know hard labor work. I mean books can give you so much knowledge, but if you know how to do thing with your own hand is much more knowledgeable.

true but if they smart enough like my brother then they will never need to do any type of hard labor
First the college is paying him to go there and after he graduate he can get any job he want right any and all he will need to doing his life is work in a lab which is not hard labor at all. especially when you in charge of that lab

so true so true. i mean its cool and all but people need to learn how to take care of themselves and need to learn how to speak in front of people. many of the fields people go into deal with speaking and interacting with others. if u r super smart but dont know how to speak in front of other people then u wont go anywhere.

true but if they smart enough like my brother then they will never need to do any type of hard labor are be good at talking to people. he made perfect score on the pact test. and all through high school every grad was 100.
I think he a freak how smart he is but he like this but he terrible with people but no one cares since how smart he is.

So like... are we talking about teaching common sense to people? Or like homemaking skills like home economics? Or vocational education or trade school after high school?

Sure you don't need much math to flip a burger or work the mop, but if your aspirations are as high as say working the cash register, then you'd better make sure you can at least make change.

A lot of university programs are teaching professional skills and conduct these days, which I support, because a lot of college grads are clueless how to behave in the workplace.

I sure we they had time to teach that to us when I was growing up in school. Had to learn the moderately difficult way about life. Still learning now.
