Anime is broadcasted, never underestimate the media. It makes the vast majority of us narutard. If you want to read free manga you go to a library, no offense

P.S What's better than TV? Anime shove directly into the head

What in the library is the most boring shit I ever seen. Not to mention the incomplete volumes.

Anime. The most popular anime in Japan are watched by 6-8 million people weekly. your name, the most popular anime movie of the year has sold nearly 16 million tickets. As oppose to the most popular manga magazine having a weekly circulation of 2.1 million with its most popular title seeing sales of 3 million every release. That's on a per title basis but overall I think the situation is the same.

I think that's an unfair comparison. It should be more like the number of views the anime One Piece gets compared to the number of One Piece manga sold.

One Piece is watched by 3 million people a week which is about how many buy the manga every release.

oh okay. its just that when I visited Japan it seemed like manga was more widespread among the general public so I wasn't sure if that was just my experience.

You weren't misslead. Speaking strictly in Japan, manga is more popular and not even close. I've been there half a dozen times, I got a ton of family there. So this is my personal opinion, not going off any statistics here.

It's just I hear more people fondly remember manga, I don't know many people over the age of 20 who are still interested in anime.

My uncle-in-law loves Hokuto no Ken. Has the entire manga collection. But never watched the anime.

My wife reads manga every other night. But she's not an anime fan at all.

Every week they have a list of the best selling manga, BD/DVD and games as well as the most watched anime on TV and in theaters. Every quarter the main manga magazines release their circulation numbers. Lots of data you can draw conclusions from.

I haven't seen any conclusive anime viewership results but here is the manga purchasing numbers... Those seem pretty hard to top if you ask me. Strictly on a numbers basis, manga seems way more profitable.

Don't really know what else to call him. He's my wife's uncle.
