I don't. I unintentionally make it worse, because I'm too arrogant to do anything about it.

I'm quite lucky in that I don't ever feel dejected or depressed, life's just too short to waste it feeling bad about myself/situation, I just go with the flow and make the best of any situation, even cancer couldn't stop me having fun.

My advice? chin up, smile and just keep on going and if you ever need a stranger to confide in, I'm right here

I also wonder how people survive when they are depressed. Games (My hobby) is not really working most of the time.

I find a game.

I play it.

I forget that I don't actually live in the game world.

If that doesn't work, ice-cream bro.

I don't cause it'll pass and it'd not a big deal. Now if it's more of perpetual dejection that's a different story.

Perpetual dejection is a condition of depression and may require the selection of medication and/or meditation to provide the solution to the situation.

I go back to what makes me happy and the feelings that are with it.

Sigh

Things seem to slow and they have a slight glow, more aware and focus-

I don't know, it's hard to explain. It feels nice

A lot of these people have good points. Breaking down your problem into realistic fixable goals is one thing. Just remember that some problems cannot be fixed and just need to be managed in smaller doses so you are not overwhelmed.

Throwing yourself into work and hobbies is another solution, however that will become a habit and a crutch. I use to do this when I was feeling stress and push people away and just focus on hobbies and work so I wouldnt have to deal. It will keep your mind off the problem but then you turn yourself to a workaholic.

Keep moving and busy though is real good advice, it can be so difficult to do so but the longer you wait the stiller you become and the harder it is to for you to move. sounds confusing, but its true.

Gaming, anime, and solitary hobbies dont really help all that much.. or really you think it does on a base level. The social aspect of games can be beneficial but these "hobbies" are still solitary in nature and parts of your brain and body still remain unactive. You need to be stimulated in multiple ways to increase your chance of fighting dejection/ depression.

If it is too much, do not be afraid to ask for help from loved one, professional help, medication.

Well, usually I sit and ponder on the feeling for a while. I'll sit and think about the problem at length and usually go deeper and deeper into the depths of the feeling. Eventually, I get so deep into the feeling that it will change from dejection into a feeling of rage (at myself I should add), which I then usually channel into determination to fix the problem at hand. It works well as I end up with the satisfaction that I have poured every part of my being into being the problem at hand, and also that the problem has been eliminated.
