I saw this on Weds' and loved it.

Few cons:
- a bit too much fan services
- Lucy's voice changed?

pros
- Great music
- great art
- it's doing what Fairy Tail is doing at his best

From what I've been able to gather in a quick search, the movie is not yet in US theaters, though apparently a 6/6 date had been announced or rumored previously.

I just tried a search on a couple of movie ticketing sites, and also checked Funimation's Blog to see if there was an update there -- got nothing.

So, I guess it's just wait and see.

I've seen some people asking about a upload on that "other site". I was pleasantly surprised at their response . They stated that they will not upload any footage of the movie while it is in the theatres . Only when the Blu-ray drops is when there would be any upload . So "pirates " have ethics after all !

I saw this movie in dubbed format this evening at my local theater. Unfortunately, I haven't watched more than the first few episodes of the broadcast version of Fairy Tail, so I can't compare it to those. My general impression was that it is a typical shonen show, where the male lead goes around socking the bad guys with a fist augmented by dragon fire. The female characters seem to major in harem outfits that are on the order of Princess Leia's outfit in Star Wars. I guess I liked the Sword Art Online movie a lot better, since it had a better story line between the battles. That said, I think that if you like the Fairy Tail franchise you will like this movie.

I just saw it at a movie theater too! This was actually the first time I had ever gone to see an anime movie in a theater, so I was pretty excited for it (and for the movie itself, of course). i hadn't watched any Fairy Tail in at least a couple weeks, if not months, and I think that added to me thoroughly enjoying watching it. I haven't seen the first Fairy Tail movie so I can't really compare the two, but I think they did a good job making this one. I did have my doubts, since I only know this series as a tv show. But, tbh, I've binged watched Fairy Tail arcs so many times that it really wasn't hard to adjust to at all haha.

I just saw it earlier English subbed as well. I got there a bit early because I wasn't sure if the movie was packed or not. it was my first time seeing an anime movie in theaters so i was pretty excited. There weren't a ton of people there due to them probably wanting to watch the movie dubbed but it was still enjoyable. I was happy there were a lot of Nalu moments with a touch of Gruvia too.

Has anyone found a viable link? It wasn't shown in theaters anywhere near me, so online will have to be enough. Can anyone help?

Movie was great, Phoenix Priestess was more emotional but Dragon Cry was more fun. Although that could also be because I watched it in the theaters.

NaWen moments were the best part. But then against Wendy is the only girl Natsu has any remotely romantic moments with in the first place.

It was shown near me, but I only found out about it on the day it was available for being watched...

Unfortunately at the moment I can only find the same really bad copy with German sub titles all over it
