FYI. Cars kill more people than guns in total. Subtract the 65% of gun deaths that are suicides and cars kill way more people. I say we need more "car safety" than "gun safety". Starting with stronger licencing requirements for a driver's licence. Stiffer penalties for " distracted driving" ect....

Seriously texting while driving is premeditated murder and not involuntary homicede. At least a drunk has the excuse that their judgement was impaired. What is the excuse for the ass hat who runs a child down on a residential street because they "just had to check that Facebook alert"?

The difference between the two is guns are made to kill. Cars are made to travel.

I do think there should be stricter laws on driving, though. Germany drivers test to the USA drivers test.... Hahaha. You cant even compare the two. It would be like comparing a 3rd grade math test (USA) to the SAT or the ACT (Germany). A complete world of difference. The drivers tend to show it too. Germans can merge like no other country I have driven in.

Seriously though, guns are made to kill, be it a robber, an elementary school or a deer.... Guns sole purpose is to kill (unless you are one of those who finds throwing money down range fun). Cars are to transport unless you put a religious nutjob behind the wheel (certain Christians and Muslim groups I am thinking of you here).

I missed the Christian with a high capacity truck mowing over people this year.

Then again if you are a Japanese school girl, it seems those trucks in Japan are well known for mowing people over.

If you think I am just talking about the USA, you are far wrong. There are plenty of Christian "extremists". They don't get called terrorists in the USA due to it being a Christian nation. Think of the guy who planed to blow up a hotel full of Somali immigrants in gods name. Or the shooting of a gay nightclub as a purging of sinners for god. Or other stuff. They are just extremists because they are in the USA. I view them the same as ISIS who beheads gays and all that. Same end result, but censored in the country of origin.

Feel free to argue, but unless you actually provide something thoughtful and discussion helping... I wont bother to respond again. I took the bait once, lets see if you can get me to grab it again with a though provoking statement.

Last two nightclub shootings that have happened have been by Muslims. Trucks, Muslims. I'm not sure what you are trying to come up with other than the fact you've somehow mistaken that most of the latest and greatest terrorist attacks have been by Muslims.

I just wanted to point out...

"M.D. Harmon, an unapologetically pro-gun columnist for the Portland Press Herald, died earlier this week after being accidently shot by a 16-year-old boy earlier this week."

"Harmon was vehemently against any form of firearms regulation, and would even lash out when legislation to introduce education for the safe handling of firearms was introduced, once calling a proposed mandatory safety class for gun owners "the worst part" of a proposed bill in Maine back in 2013."

...that this guy seriously needs a thesaurus!

From the actual story:
“The circumstances under which the gun was introduced is still under investigation,” said McCausland, who did not know why the gun was loaded. “It is just one of the many questions we have.”
So there is question as to whether Harmon handed over the firearm.

And let us just forget those 762 gun homicides in the gun-grabbers dream town of Chicago, because "Ohh, look, pro-gun columnist killed! Har,har, har"

I won't click on that link, but I will say that the pro gun lobby has only grown more powerful thanks to Obama. Obama has sold more guns than any other president by far. One of the few good things that he managed to accomplish.

Selling guns isn't good
It isn't bad either.

Though it must suck to live in a country where you feel you need a gun to be safe o.o

Not really. We have been doing that since our founding. Guns provide protection from all sorts of things.

Lets look up the number of people killed by 'urban teens' in cities with tight gun control vs accidental gun deaths
I'll take my chances with my guns thanks.

Must suck to live in a country where you get charged with a hate crime if you happen to bop an armed Apex gang banger breaking in your house on the head with a bat.
Seriously though, its called the Bill of Rights not Bill of Safety or Bill of Needs

you won't get charged with a hate crime for defending yourself
Our gun crime has dropped since we banned them I don't agree with them being banned but it has positively impacted us
