The problem with Puerto Rico becoming a state. Is that they would have to essentially give up being "Puerto Rican" in favor of "American". Which would be detrimental to their national pride.

You want a "national" Puerto Rican pride without being an independent sovereign nation? Okay. Just to point out, becoming Americans doesn't negate your sense of also being Puerto Ricans. Many Americans still associate with state, regional, or ethnic identities. Just consider it another badge you get, or have, to wear.

I'm all for a Puerto Rico state, just like I'm for any state wanting to join the United States and become Americans. If the British want to take that Brexit thing another step, we'll put up with the accents if they want to become 52.

No, you are not.

Voting rights of United States citizens in Puerto Rico, like the voting rights of residents of other United States territories, differ from those of United States citizens in each of the fifty states and the District of Columbia. Residents of Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories do not have voting representation in the United States Congress, and are not entitled to electoral votes for President. The United States Constitution grants congressional voting representation to U.S. states, which Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories are not, specifying that members of Congress shall be elected by direct popular vote and that the President and the Vice President shall be elected by electors chosen by the States.

Did you forget we've been over this? I have every right to vote in presidential elections under UOCAVA. You came up with some bullshit about it not being valid for casino employees, yet when I asked you to show me where you read this(because there's zero mention of casino employees anywhere) you came up with some lame excuse not to defend your premise.

Is this an ironic comment?

Cause nearly every comment preceding this is a Republican crying about something.

The difference is that our voters on republican side were not literally crying like the democratic voters when our candidate lost.

because . . . your candidate didn't lose?? so i'm not sure what point you're trying to make there. unless you're saying people didn't cry when mitt romney or other previous republican candidates lost, which is like 100% obviously false

the sad thing is that you guys won, and you're STILL crying over petty stuff like this

I am not crying over anything. I merely pointed out a fact. Even if my candidate lost(which he almost did due to his moronic comments). We would have had to simply accept it. Not literally shed tears because our candidate did not.

No, Trump and Trumpettes were crying over Jill Stein collecting money and paying for a recount (which was Constitutionally allowed and her given right. Trump spends all his time claiming a rigged election, threatening riots if he lost and when he wins he threatens lawsuits against Stein and crew for exercising her lawful given rights CRYING foul along with his Kool-aid drinking followers . The ultimate irony is the same people claiming Clinton was stepping on their second amendment rights were ignoring the fact of stepping on the rights of both Stein and on numerous occasions the free press. It's funny seeing them call liberals/democrats crybabies despite the fact it was they who kept crying the loudest through this whole campaign.

Oh, and I'm all for amendments to give ALL US territories citizens the right to vote in US Elections despite what candidates they favor. It's just right considering they share US Citizenship with us.

Meh, Obama was the first and last time I will ever vote liberal.

Trump just needs to write one executive order that throws out every Obama executive order and regulation that he created in the past 8 years, and his presidency will be an instant success.

Block all trade with Canada as well.

Obama's problem is that of much of America's, they've isolated them selves into little happiness bubbles where they only hear news they like and block out unhappy news. So they're totally stunned when anyone disagrees with them.

Obama's rage fit is that he can't believe that the whole country doesn't think he's the most glorious thing to lead the nation and that there are really that many people that want his nonsense undone. He'll probably lead American's version of the May Day Parade this year and be bewildered at the rage he'll get.

so obama punishes russia for something they have no evidence of and damn near restarting the cold war. if Trump wasn't elected I guarantee there would be a new cold war, and some how this topic is bashing Trump.

All liberals can do is scream. America stripped them of power everywhere except sanctuary cities. After trump launches all the illegal invaders back over the border with a catapult, the Democrats will lose control of those cities as well.

On what foundation is your "no evidence" assertion built on? I haven't seen anything to suggest that they don't have evidence other than the fact that it has not been shared with the public at this time. Whether or not that is the right decision is up for debate but it's not like that concretely proves that that's the case, intelligence agencies not sharing the methods to their findings is really nothing new.
