I only recently joined and just now noticed the "Sorry, because of license this is not available in your country". Sure it sucks wanting to watch a show and be denied, even more so with the hype from the votes going on at the moment, but moving on from moaning.

How does the licensing work exactly? Why am I allowed to watch something like Fate/Kalied but not the original Fate series? (In Denmark)

Will the licensing be expanded, much like Netflix were, and still are, attempting? Are there any countries without the license problem? And is there anything we can do other than accept it as such?

Every series is individually bid on by multiple parties. Sometimes we just can't get a title for all regions that we serve because we are being outbid or the original licensor has no interest in serving a particular region.

If we have a chance to get an older title later one, we usually try to get it. But that isn't always easy.
