Eh, this has been the worst season start for me in a long time. I hope there is some good shows from the ones that haven't been released yet. So far I have watched Saga of Tanya the Evil, Interviews With Monster Girls, Akiba's Trip, and Masamune-kun's Revenge. The only one that I liked was Monster Girls. Gabriel DropOut looks promising though so i'll probably try that tonight. Everything else that is out on Crunchyroll so far didn't grab my attention or just wasn't my kind of show.

What do you have against Netflix?

Ahh, good to see you again. Alas, it would be a long story and major thread derailment to explain; let's just say, Netflix's propensity to "steal" movies/content as exclusives (imagine movies only available at particular rental stores, such as "Blockbuster"), and problems with its Founder/CEO "Reed Hastings", leads to such conclusion.

There is CR, and there is Netflix. The whole trend for media distributors to become content producers for liquid markets (Hollywood movies/TV) that started with Netflix is leading to monopolization of the market. Indeed, their entire business models are now depended on this (due to ample competition otherwise). If you want to watch x, u must have service of y. Until recently, such idea used to be crazy.

Then Comcast bought NBC. Perhaps I am simply old-fashioned. No matter...

O yea, and "Chaos;Head" apparently is finally getting a direct story-related sequel: Because we all know how much u "Peoples of the Internet" like that show. Perhaps, this time it will make sense to ya, and u will finally "see the light"...

..Oh boy Here we go.

Only moe/romance? So, Chaos;Child is moe now, eh?

I would suggest you revist the lineup.... Perhaps you simply overlooked somethings.

He's blowing smoke up your kilt. But your list is pretty much comprised of waifu bait/cute girls doing cute things/romcoms so it might as well be true.

Tier 1 "Most Hyped" about

Chaos;Child (science;adventure side story)
Grandblu Fantasy (mobile game adaptation /mobage/collect the waifus) (looks like it could be enjoyable however since it's a-1 i'm on guard.)
AkibaStrip (game adaptation that's centered on fanservice just as much as Keijo was.) ( i am a fan of Gonzo however)
Konosuba (considering i love the comedy in the slayers series and like this for a similar reason i get the hype but i'm not saying your list doesn't look anymore biased )
Miss Kobayashi Dragon Maid (Kyoani is back with monster girl doing cute things) ( i will probably pick it up however)
Masemune-kun's Revenge (It's snafu's spiritual successor) (enjoying however)

Tier 2 "Highly anticipated", pending approval

Kemono Friends (Mobile game of cute animal girls cute things)
Interviews with Monster Girls ( monster girls doing cute things.. )
Idol Incidents ( I feel like again your love for the science;adventure brought you here. I don't know maybe it's the fact that Mages gives it away.) (But it doesn't look bad) (game adaptation/cute girls)

Tier 3 Will Consider, "Neutral Hype"

Gabriel Dropout ( cute girls doing cute things )
Chain Chronicle (mobile game adaptation ) (it's not bad though)
Rewrite ( Hey let's make another season about the other routes and more than likely continue to half ass the whole thing.)
ACCA ( hey we agree with something )

Tier 0 Dropped Titles; no longer pending consideration

School Girl Strikers (understandable)
Seiren (creator of amagami ss series original)
Fuuka (i stand by what i said) (music/romcom)
Miami Kamakura: HSCC (This is actually good so far unlike long riders character designs are attractive/backgrounds are gorgeous) (sports)
Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga (I'm assuming the fact it's a sequel turned you off?) (Shounen/action)
Spiritpact
Saga of Tanya the Evil
Ai-Mai-Mi Surgical Friends
Gintama (Who the hell isn't watching Gintama? Especialy Konosuba fans?) (Action/shounen/comedy)
The Ancient Magnus's Bride (I know i should be watching/reading but i haven't picked it up yet.)
Forest Fairy Five
eIDLIVE (Hitman reborn author makes a fun shounen that's a space opera and you drop it)

And i suggest you practice what you preach there's a staggering amount you're skipping or failed to mention because you can't be bothered to either A. watch or B. do your research properly.
The fact you didn't mention Youjo senki, Shouwa Genroku S2, Nanbaka S2 as well is mind blowing you expect anyone to take you seriously..

And i assume you're skipping out on Fuuka for one of the following reasons either A. you're one of those types that reject a series because of the hype/community or B. you're seeing it as a generic romcom or both. tl;dr Suzuka, Kimi no iru machi, Fuuka are set in the same universe his series are more on par to something like Kimi ga nozomu eien.

..... I think someone doesn't know what the Chaos; Steins; Robots; Occult franchise is. Or, doesn't know what SciFi is.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Science_Adventure

Science Adventure (Japanese: 科学アドベンチャー Hepburn: Kagaku Adobenchā?) is a series of visual novel video games developed by 5pb. and Nitroplus. The first entry in the series, Chaos;Head, was released in 2008, and since then, four more main series games have been released: Steins;Gate, Robotics;Notes, Chaos;Child, and Steins;Gate 0. There are also four spin-off games based on Chaos;Head and Steins;Gate, and an upcoming one based on Chaos;Child. Other media based on the series has also been made, including anime, manga, light novels, drama CDs, and stage plays.

Or clearly you want us all to know how biased your anticipation is for this season is simply because a side story in the science adventure universe is getting adapted it's suddenly not a shit season apparently.

I see. Well, if it ever makes the escape off the Vile Netflix, I will give it a gander....

This explains why you ignored Kuromukuro a very ambitious original by p.a. works.
If you don't want to support netflix there's always other methods again if you're gonna completely disregard a season at least know everything you're disregarding first. And everyone and their mother has heard of little witch academia, don't bs us.

Seeing as how once again someone is disregarding everything the season has to offer i will probably make out a recommendation list later in the season.

Acca looks good, and Marginal #4 looks like the sort of thing I would like (idol shows are a matter of taste, rather than quality).

That's still more than most seasons, and more than just about all other media combined, so... yeah, good season.

I tried ACCA and Handshakers...ACCA seems to have a bit of style to it but not sure if it's my thing. Handshakers deserves to be in your Tier 0 though. I'll give the second episode a go just to see but my hand is hovering over the drop button. Saga of Tanya the Evil is OK. I don't mind the alternate WW1 setting. The art style reminds me of the one from Aldnoah Zero but overall it didn't really engage me much. Not much is really standing out to me in the whole lineup. I'll just have to try a few and see.

LoL, no worries, it already was at time of ur post. I have been updating the OP as season moves along; HS came out yesterday so I was waiting.

I assumed a FUNimation flagship show (used in Winter promo, "Worlds that Speak To You") would be better, but meh..... Tentacle porn first few min.....

Ha! No frigging kidding! That turned me off right there but fool that I am I gave it a chance and was sorely disappointed. Of course as I'm going to give episode 2 a go when it shows up, I'm still a fool.

Well, we are getting close (if not at the end) when it comes to announcements.

Looks like me gonna have a solid 6 shows, at least. And plenty of varied titles as well; to suit "other tastes", of course. Indeed, far stronger then any season last year.

And 2017 only has begun.......

#MAKEANIMEGREATAGAIN

UPDATE: Season locked in at 7 titles. A personal record. Definitely beats out last year in its entirety for CR titles. May watch some of these dub (like Chaos;Child), but we will see.

I would imagine many of these would have been FUNimation exclusives before, so looks like this "alliance" most certainly benefiting CR, it is so...
