Synopsis

This is the story of the Chain Chronicle, a book that describes everything that happens in the world. The citizens of the remote continent of Yggd once thought that there was nothing beyond their continent. The continent was divided into several regions, each with its own king. Though there were small skirmishes amongst them, a lord, chosen by the kings in conference, always maintained balance, until the evil Black Army arrived. The Volunteer Army, led by Yuri, was no match for the Black Army. During the fighting, the Lord of Black captures half of the Chain Chronicle, as well as the capital

Movie is pretty much the same thing as the TV series except the movie is better in quality. Nothing much else new to see here if you've seen the movie already.

Woah, the movie is actually better in quality? Ouch... guess I won't even waste my time then.

I was hoping maybe the tv series wouldn't be as big a trainwreck as the movie. And it's just a re-airing of the first episode of the movie. Talk about milking the cow dry.

You have no legitimate reason to complain about this. The fact that the individual episodes would be the same as the movie has been advertised since day one. Your post just makes it seem like you're looking for an excuse to attack Chain Chronicle, when in reality the show has taken every measure to render your complaint null and void from the start.

So there's advertisements that say 'hey, if you liked the movie re-watch it on the tv version'? That's really sad.

*And no, them coming out and saying 'We're ready to milk this muther f'er dry' doesn't nullify squat.

Stop trying to create needless drama all because you never bothered to read Crunchyroll's announcements when they revealed the simulcast of Chain Chronicle. The only person left in the lurch here is you.

I express my disappointment in how the show was done, what horribly unneeded drama.

That's not necessarily the case as I think that this is a package deal as they either get both or they get neither with the cost about the same as any other show. Seeing that the footage is just about the same that it didn't cost the studio much to produce both. In any case, now that I realize that it's simply a repeat of the movie that there's just no point in watching the TV series if the movie is the same and it is of higher quality, at least not until Funimation puts out the dub of this as I'm expecting it to use the TV series footage for their broadcasts.

No, you're just dishonestly attacking Chain Chronicle over a problem of your own invention. Next time read Crunchyroll's announcements before your start causing needless drama.

Sorry my disappointment triggered you, but there's nothing dishonest about it. Reading the announcement might have saved me a little time, but wouldn't have changed my opinion.

In my opinion, one ignorant of this series existence prior to its drop on McCrunchy, I really enjoyed 2 unique aspects, 1) The "drop in" point of the story, and 2) The "next level", jaw dropping action sequences.

To not be a blowhard but still a desire to share, i will keep it short. 1) Refers to dropping us into the story at what feels should be the end of season 1, and also how wel epsiodes 1-4 compensate for the lack of a previous season by keeping the story somewhat cliche as it builds in complexity.

2) is pretty self explanatory, those who animated these action sequences deserve more then a pat on the back, and i would hire them to animate my anime if i had one, or if i had a production studio. There are many other fine examples out there, fo sho, but the..."eye"?...of this animation team is top notch, Bravo

I will now end my rant, thank you for reading if you did, and if you didnt, then you wont see this part of the message anyway, but have a nice day anyway
