Did anyone watch this episode today and are willing to give their opinion?

... anyone?

Spiritpact has surprised the hell out of me, for a number of reasons.

First of all, this being a Chinese manhua-based anime, and having had poor viewing experiences with the premieres of the last two seasons' Chinese entries, I went into this not really expecting much, even if it did come from Haoliners, who delivered TO BE HERO last season.

I guess it's possible for anime based on a Chinese manhua to be good after all.

What really surprised me is that this show has an engaging mix of character drama, comedy, and action, and the characters are actually interesting, which I haven't seen from ANY of the action series offerings this season. Really, the last few seasons have been pretty dry as far as engaging action/comedy/character offerings (Izetta being the only true standout on all fronts in recent memory), but this? This turned out to be THE show I was hoping I'd find this season. A nice action comedy show with character depth.

Tanmoku is a jerk, Keika is a dumbass, and Shiyou is just...man, Shiyou. XD This fricking came out of NOWHERE and I love it. I absolutely love it.

This what I think of it why do so many people hate this show.

I'm guessing it's because it largely doesn't look all that great and because it's another effort by Haoliners who have a short history of largely releasing garbage. There may also be some elements of it being based on a Chinese source and thus somehow not "anime enough" though that last one is a guess more than anything. Given how much flak things like the incredible Shelter get from some circles for not being completely Japanese in source, though, it wouldn't surprise me.

Personally, I'm still enjoying it every week. It's not at the top of my seasonal favourites but it's a fun watch.

Pretty much this. "Enjoy" might be overstating it a bit for me, but it was an okay, if mostly pointless, watching experience. I watched a lot of stuff this season, and while this was not one of the shows that I particularly looked forward to each week, it was a relaxing way to spend a part of each Saturday. I watched at least one show this season that left me with a feeling of "meh, why did I bother; all the characters are annoying and what a stupid way to get to the conclusion" but this wasn't it.
