So, there are two versions of Chain Chronicle out. There's the four part movie version and a TV episode. Are there any differences between? And does anyone have a recommended version?

Thanks anyone!

It doesn't look very interesting really. Based on a game, generic fantasy. Pass.

Will watch:
Gintama
Fate/Grand Order
Blue Exorcist
Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju
Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans
Ninja Girl & Samurai Master
Ai Mai Mi

Will try:
Saga of Tanya
Spiritpact (don't trust the negative reviews, i'll see for myself)

So far, nothing else out of the current lineup looks any good to me. I may try others if I hear good things about them though.

Honestly, I'd say don't waste your time with either. If you want a fantasy show there are much better offerings out there, both fairly new and classic. All Chain Chronicle does is steal... I mean, borrow elements from other better fantasy media, shove in some blatantly taken from the game mechanics and add some occasionally decent visual elements to make what feels like one of the most generic things you'll likely ever see.

If you're absolutely determined to watch, however, just watch the movies. From what I have heard, the content is the same in both the movies and the TV show so at least the movies won't leave you waiting week to week.

Suggestions of better shows?
Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash is much better fantasy property that actually does some different things with the genre.
Berserk wasn't a personal favourite of mine but if you like fantasy shows that try to be dark and edgy with an over the top "badass" hero it should do the trick.
GATE is a nice mix of fantasy and modern day with some likable and memorable characters.
Record of Lodoss War is a classic of the anime medium in the fantasy genre.
Slayers is a lot of fun as a fantasy though it leans much more towards comedy than anything serious.
