The AppleTV app is currently displaying the following error when attempting to log in and/or access videos.

Steps already taken to correct:

1. Hard rebooted AppleTV.

No effect.

2. Reset AppleTV to factory settings, re-downloaded current AppleTV OS, Reinstalled CrunchyRoll App.

NO EFFECT.

Please advise the source of this error, and any corrective action that may be taken.

I am having the exact same issue. I have just reset my AppleTV and cannot access certain shows on Crunchyroll because the JSON contains no value for the key "code". Very very frustrating.

Same issue. But also getting other issues with the iOS app, and even while trying to load this forum post I couldn't get to load, then got a blank page going to crunchyroll.com, so seems to be service wide issues.

Still having the same issue. I reset the Apple TV and reloaded and relogged in to everything and I still get this incredibly frustrating no value for key "code" prompt. Has Crunchyroll even been informed of this issue?

on chat support I got this info (a little too complex for me to try...). But maybe it has something to do with the server outage:

Something you might want to try is update your DNS. Now, keep in mind, that we are currently in the midst of an intermittent outage and are working on getting that resolved as quickly as we can, but it might be something to try and see if it works.

Getting to the right servers:
Because the servers for various devices are all located in different parts of the country, it's a matter of pointing to the right DNS server.
Changing your router's DNS should resolve this. You’ll find complete instructions on how to change your DNS by using OpenDNS.com's all-encompassing guide (https://store.opendns.com/setup/#/). You should try this first, if in the USA and Europe. If this doesn't seem to help, you can try Google's Public DNS (https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns).

I have tried manually changing my Apple TV (new/black version) DNS to Google's 0008.0008.0008.0008 as well as the alternate 0008.0008.0004.0004 but to no avail. I still get the error "Something went wrong. JSON" something something "code" or that the servers are unavailable. This is incredible frustrating as this error is not new and I've seen this a lot in the few months I have used Crunchyroll on my Apple TV.

My solution is this: video works ok on the Crunchyroll Apple iPhone App so I'm using that and just mirroring it to the tv using Apple TV. -1/8/2017 @ ~8:18pm CST

UPDATE (1/8/2016 @ 8:44pm CST) - I am now getting an error on my iPhone App "Error. Request failed: internal server error (500)". Ugh!

I have the same frustrating problem in my apple tv with that JSON error! i Hope crunchyroll solves it soon!!!
