No, I didn't. I don't have Twitter. You must have me confused with someone else or you misread my complaint about not getting any response to my e-mail other than on Dec. 26 which was merely "we're looking into this."

You are correct, it was OP (purplegold), who was also the person I originally quoted and replied to that said that.

I see in a later post he also noticed the Twitter post himself, but failed to correct that complaint in the original message, despite editing it later.


Given the problems people were experiencing accessing the site in general during that period, I'm not so certain how helpful a notice on the site itself would have been. There is also the problem of not everyone checking the News section.

Frankly, if I'm having problems with a site, I usually search for their Twitter or Facebook page, as it makes more sense to post the notice elsewhere if the site is having issues.

The twitter feed is echoed on the CR News page, so you can see it there... Although, that wouldn't help any more than having it on the home page if the site isn't responding. Neither placement would work in the case if the site was the only place to announce a problem...

The primary issue is not the method of communications, twitter was just an example I echoed from previous posts by others. I see this is a common complaint with cr, the lack of communications. It seems to me cr has a lot on its plate and many platforms to support. It will be interesting to see how it grows or gets bought out in the next few years.
