Episode 1 is now live on Crunchyroll.

Episode 1

Well, that was pretty boring as the MC couldn't be any more bland and the storywriting couldn't be any more cliched for a shonen action. Chuta hears things and is suddenly transported into the police force where right off the bat he is given an assignment to arrest an alien. It turns out that it is one of his teachers is that alien and his best friend Tateyan is being held captive, so he unleashes his powers to save the day. Then he surprisingly finds Misuzu as one of the members of elDLIVE. Well, that wasn't doing it for me, and not to mention, those are some of the ugliest school unis that I have seen as plaid and red are a bad combination. I'm not sure how much more of this I can stand, but I'll at least watch another episode of this.

As expected, it's a typical shounen series filled with typical shounen tropes done none other than Studio Filler. I don't think I've ever seen that many expositions in the first episode alone since the Asterisk War. I think the only good I see in this is voice actress Kugimiya Rie.

Chuta turned out okay considering he's had to live with listening to Kagura everyday. Hopefully this gets more interesting. It reminds me of Men in Black.

Having read the manga, I'll admit it starts off rather run-of-the-mill, but comes into it's own rather quickly. Add to that this episode was basically a 70 page chapter in one episode, so it had to cram a lot of exposition stuff in.

I remember trying the manga but was nowhere near as good as Reborn. ^ I'll stick to it and see how it goes.

Been reading the manga while ago and following it an irregular pace. The OP song fits and well, the characters are a bit gimmicky. Still, I got fun from watching this especially with the Reborn designs.

Granted the animation quality felt kinda average. Misuzu is cute imo though even with that cold personality of hers.

From all the introductions and premise, I think first episode was fine. Not too impressive but not too shabby either. Of course, they introduced the sci-fi elements into the story too. Chuta's character doesn't impress me much but it's the first episode so there's time for development.

Eldlive is one of those manga with a stiff begining aka its season 1(chapter 1-3). Season 2(4-9) and 3(10-17) is when eldive finds it's roots and improves it storyline.

I knew absolutely nothing about this before i decided to try it. It was surprisingly enjoyable. It gave me an almost Saturday Morning Cartoon kind of vibe. And that's a good thing.

I'll at least give it the 3 ep. try.

Ok that was bad, but felt deliberately bad. Like a campy bad. Like a couple of 10 year olds in a playground tossing out random rules and inventions. And to the person above me who said it felt like saturday morning cartoons, that was pretty much my impression, I got lots of flashbacks to She-ra, He-man and those 80s cartoons. I might stick with it for an episode or two, but shonen stuff isn't really my gig.

Pretty generic slow start but I heard it improves so I'll stick with it for now.

Ep 1

Wow. I had no idea what this was about but I definitely wasn't expecting what we got. Definitely an odd, albeit not necessarily terrible, start. I agree with Yamstarch about the Saturday morning cartoon vibes. I could see this series getting serious later on, but I'll admit that it was pretty cheesy though. Not sure what to think yet. Well, except that the moon face thing is creepy as hell.
