Episode 1

The first episode was okay I did find Natsuki's voice a little annoying but got use to it by the end. Also the first concert turned out great that they even got other person running to join there side. It's going to be interesting seeing Natsuki get along with the rest of the Dietwoman maybe she will have to win them over like she did with Shizuka or maybe not?

Should I make a Trump joke or a Rougai party joke?

Okay, watched first episode. Too early to call this one; was having serious case of Deja vu here.

A main female redhead something; confronts a black haired sexy girl who has reservations about her singing. Never heard of this one before; nope, nothing that didn't hit #1 Summer 2016 anime in Japan (by far).

Then they get together, sing all lovey dubby; /missionaccomplished

Hopefully just first episode thing. But this one requires additional approval.

In terms of political thing; as I like to tell me Japanese friends, 「首相になりたい。」, this should be me favs show. Interesting how it appears the "Heroine Party" platform is simply singing-based propaganda. No message of governance whatsoever. Not like IRL Japan's Diet is any better, of course. Still in denial about them "comfort women".

Nevertheless, we shall see...

Meh, no matter. The only party worth joining is 初音ミク party, of course ; )

Not quite sure about this one. It was at least cute and "different" enough of a premise to get me intrigued. Idol shows aren't typically my thing. But, I did like LL.

I'm more interested in seeing some of the characters from the OP.

Especially the goth girl. But, so far these "starter" girls are cute at least.

Ep 1

I don't think I've ever seen the whole Idols/politics idea done before. The first episode was ok, Natsuki is cute I suppose. The performance wasn't too bad either. I actually want to see a serious sort of political side to the show as opposed to a pure idol show with a political gimmick, but it's too soon to tell what tone it'll take.

This was all over the place trying to do too much in one episode. Definitely not a series that can overtake love live.

Weird, are they trying to make politics interesting by mixing it with idols or idols less interesting? Hmmm

Episode 2

The idol politicians are cleaning up the environment starting with a site where people are dumping, and Natsuki meets Chinatsu who is totally pissed that her village that she grew up in has become a dumping ground, all while she's totally mad at Shizuka for turning her back on the party. Thus, the Heroine and Sunshine parties are at a standstill not willing to work together to clean up the mess and to settle this dispute, Natsuki and Chinatsu have a bungee jumping contest, and while Natsuki is fearless, Chinatsu is a scaredy cat. The cord snapped, but luckily she landed in the river and that gave Natsuki the idea to turn junk into art. Well, that was decent enough for me to keep going with this show for now, but this whole concept of idols as politicians continues to have some pretty big shortcomings.

I gave this one two episodes, which is more than I usually give anything that involves idols as the core premise, simply because of how batshit insane the core premise of this show is.

I'm not sure I'm giving it a third episode. The formula has now appeared and I'm honestly not loving how black-and-white this world is. Idols are pure and sweet and sunshine, Rougai are all shady, skeevy guys (and good LORD was the main villain of this episode skeevy and shady, I mean his character design was too blatant, come on!) with no morals and a clearly selfish interest in control...

Yeah, I dunno. It feels like it's preaching down to the audience in a painful way. And frankly it's just too silly.

Episode 2

This week Natsuki meets Chinatsu another member of the dietwoman. Things don't go so good as Shizuka is from that place and Chinatsu considers her a traitor that she goes so far as slapping her. To get her to work together Natsuki agrees to bungee jumping and everything goes easy for Natsuki until the last jump. The last jump was to high that even Natsuki was scared to jump at first but she wants the two groups to work together so she goes through with it and as she falls the cord snaps. Things turn out okay as she lands in the river and she comes up with a way to take care of the trash problem.

I feel the same. At least in episode 2 we see the idols actually doing some public good and not just being stupid and cute. But still, there was a lot of stupid (which to me is not cute), and also I find many of the voices, especially Natsuki's, irritating.

And, honestly, I don't like idol shows in general. I'm deciding right now not to watch another episode, unless I start hearing particularly good things about it. I want to free up some room in my life for not-anime, so I'm committed to being pickier about what I watch.

I generally love idol shows but I can't seem to keep watching this one so I'm out.... sorry, idols. Just too strange a mix of idols and politics and garbage dumps and conspiracies.

I would side with the Idol Dietwomen's stance on nature and cleanliness, but if the assemblyman was the owner of that land, then he can do as he pleases as long as no laws are broken. I thought the idols would provide evidence of environmental crime. Instead, they unlawfully created an art installation. At the end, the assemblyman should have called the police on those idol trespassers...
