As for the plot, not sure what to say, especially the whole politics stuff. I guess i'll watch this for some while. To sum it up for: It's a start.

The real test of this show is how serious it will get; in terms of IRL Japanese political issues, so we shall see. Indeed, as some "noobs at life" that cannot handle serious, intelligent anime may complain on this thread and elsewhere, but no matter. If u want stupid girl idol anime, plenty to go around, it is so...

There's nothing wrong to share one's own opinion, isn't there? I think it's OK so far. Depending how well it uses it's cards, it may or may not become a hit (obviously). I don't think it will affect on me, anyhow. Maybe, maybe not. We'll see what happens. We'll see.

This was a cute episode, and I loved the girls introduced this time around. Fun stuff and, while they do touch on larger issues here and there, it's become pretty clear that that's the MO of this series. It's certainly not the deeper take that some people, including myself, were sort of hoping they would go for. It's not offensive though and is an enjoyable watch every week.

Man, what an asshole that president is. Especially after all those drawings get ruined because of him. I feel like i could punch some sense into him. But wait! He changed his mind. Good. Who deserves the punch? The director guy or whoever it was at end. I doubt that he can crush the idols by himself.

He is supposed to be the Prime Minister of Japan, modeled after Junichiro Koizumi. He is worried his government is going to be nerfed by Heroine, which I assume is the endgame for this series.

Episode 7

The people from Natsuki's home town call for her help as a stadium they don't want to pay taxes for is being build. She goes to the see the president to see if she can change his mind but fails. Later she finds out that the president is the father of Shizuka and asks for her help but she denies as she doesn't want to see her father. Natsuki tries once more to convince Shizuka's father by showing him pictures children drew but also fails. Thats when Shizuka steps in to help out and what better than to have a concert. In the end Shizuka's father has a change of heart after seeing their concert.

Heh Fake News...

Anyway, things are definitely getting real. For a show that dances around with serious subject matter here and there but largely falls on the side of silly it's been an interesting last couple of episodes. Still not a great series but it's still pretty entertaining.

Well, sh*t. It was actually a good episode. God, how much i hate that stuff those politicians or whatever did. And since it ended that way, now i want to see how it continues.

One more thing. The ending illustrations, gtfoh. It's no attention taker and saying that pe-ordering DVD stuff every time starts to get old.

The Idol Diet banned from engaging Idol performances by passage of national referendum; they choose to defy the vote and continue anyway, but yet no one shows up to the concert? Will the Idol Diet recover their status, or be cast from politics for eternity? Find out on the Finale next Sunday 3/26!
