I originally had nothing but Samsung TVs when crunchy had the app for Samsung so I went out and bought 500$ worth of Roku so I could watch anime in each room of the house as needed. But I have tons of problems with the app. Anyone else have this problem? Sure I could watch it on a computer but my wife and I watch together and it's uncomfortable crowding around a PC or laptop.

I've moved this to the Roku Help forum.

Is this mostly just in the last couple of days? It seems there have been some issues affecting just about everything, including the Roku app on and off over the last 24 hours or so.

It will probably help to say which model you have. I've been using a Roku stick for a while, and I really don't have any problems with it in general, including for CR (except the above mentioned issues that seem to be affecting everything).

5 rokus? Maybe your wireless is overloaded if you have that many smart tv's too... That's a lot of wireless traffic.

Try this specific speed test using a wireless PC if you have one. This tests quality of service, not just bandwidth, ...

I have a Roku Stick to use and accompany me on my travels, it is not allowing me to connect either. It seems to have picked up in the new year. Might it possibly have something to do with the new DDoS protection?

Or actual DDoS attacks themselves. It would be prime time for jerks to have the most impact targeting the beginning of a new season. I know I've seen the cloudflare message a couple times myself.

Not sure I should put this here or start a new thread. I am having a weird issue that seems quite random. Shows stream fine, but navigating to a show to load, it says there is a connection problem. I found that if I go to the site, I am able to move forward on my Roku. It probably has to do with ddos protection and allowing sessions from my IP. The protection probably can't differentiate between Roku and anything else.
If that's the case, I would like to know how this issue is resolved.

Count me as another with Roku problems. I have no problems on my Shield TV, iPad, or Android phone but on the Roku the app takes forever to load. Also, sometimes videos will get stuck at a certain point and cannot proceed past (loading bar pops up at a certain point in the playback and never loads past even if I start over at the beginning).

Count me as another Roku user with problems. We have 2 4k Roku devices and both started to have problems a couple weeks ago. We have the same behavior as Taiyed, long app load times and video playback being spotty. It seems like the device is unable to connect to Crunchroll at times even though going through the web browser on a computer has no issues what so ever.

Anyone knows why Dragon Ball Super has bad quality stream in the Roku app but not in other devices apps, and every other series has the best quality in the roku app

Count me in as another person having problems with the Roku for the Crunchyroll app (all other apps work fine). It takes forever to start, then interrupts itself every two minutes go to the "Loading..." screen. I tried to do the chat here and was told that they were escalating the issue, but that was over a week ago and have heard nothing from them since. Well, other than emailed ads.

Will my premium account be prorated? (I'll hold my breath.)

All I would like is some communication. If it's a DDoS attack, let me know, let me know how you're dealing with it and when it's projected to be over. When I do a Google search, all the info I get is from years ago and nothing about a recent attack. It would be nice if they pinned an announcement on this in the forums so it's more easy to find than looking through tons of threads.

I promise, if I feel like someone is working on it, I'm much more likely to stick around and keep paying for my account.

I'm guessing this hasn't been resolved because I'm also having problems on my Roku Premiere+
App takes a long time to load. Then, when I try to watch something, it just stays on the 'retrieving' screen and never loads.

MY roku app has been getting a ton of encoding errors lately, screens pixilated, flashing or getting stuck on full color screens(green, grey most common)
its the roku streaming stick and the other apps on the device do not have the same problem.

Wow! I am having a Roku problem as well. It shows my history of course, but the minute I click on a show is shows the retrieving or loading bar then blank. Has anyone from Crunchyroll addressed your above issues? This is crazy! If this persists, I want my money back.
