Who thinks it is and has hope despite all the troubles the world has right now.

I see a bright future that is still possible a realistic one where there is still war and tragedy but we grow slowly over time.

A world where we can live longer then ever before.

Whats your view on the future.

I'm hopeful. The future doesn't have to be bright for me to be okay with it.

I tell people if you don't think the future is worth it, don't have kids. Or build a time-machine to go back in time and stop your parents from having you.

I don't really give a damn about the future. I'm just gonna keep enjoying life.

Lol, finally someone who thinks like me. I don't plan to have kids, that being one of the reasons.

As for what I see in my future?

1) I spend 4 years in private sector (boooo)
2) Congress stops the government freeze (yayyy)
3) I move to Germany after government goes to hell (yay dual citizenship)
4) I die due to some unforeseen accident.

50/50.... Meh, could be worse.

No, but then again i'm with LunaTakimoto. The 90% only care about themselves, maybe 8.7% care for others but only those close to them either by way of familial ties or empathy/sympathy, the rest are a dieng breed.

I wouldn't kill yourself though. Just so long as you can live a normal life, because that's all you really need.

This is why I stick to forum games because all you people really do is talk and that's fine but for me as long as I have a bag of chips and some cool people to play games with it's all gucci.

Sorry to be the downer here, but I find it nearly impossible for the world to get any better. We are going to keep growing in population, and it is already out of control. Our climate crisis is going to get worse because people keep denying the facts. We will never get all the world leaders on the same page about what needs to be done, on anything. It hasn't been done before and still can't be done. People will keep hating each other, which causes more hate, then violence, then more violence. There's no sign of major acts of violence ending. It just gets worse and worse over time.
Not to mention the financial problems for our generation and future generations. How are any of us supposed to own our own home? I make 50% over minimum wage, work full time, take the bus, and have no debt but I still can't even afford a studio apartment. I don't expect to live glamorously, but with all those factors, I should at least be able to live in a small space by myself. (I know in some places it's easier to afford a living space, but here, where everything and everyone I know is, it's impossible). Even those of us who decide to go to college will have a hard time making anything out of the education. Thankfully, I happen to come from a family that made money before the financial shitstorm, and they have supported me for a long time. Without them, I would be nowhere.
None of these things have shown any progress, and just continue to worsen. I am pretty scared for my little niece, who in 10 years will come to know all of these problems more seriously-some firsthand.

1. population is indeed a problem and with the fact that the first to be immortal human (aging cured) is possibly among us today means we need to tackle population.

2. Climate change is a problem we can't deny anymore.

3. The economical model we go by now needs to be reworked i actually hope the majority if not 90% of jobs become taken by automation.

These are all problems we can tackle and fix if we act properly.
The latest testing in switzerland of the new income system proposed for a post-automation economy is in tests right now we will see if it's effective and where to go from there.

I'll have a wife and a pet cockatoo. World peace was obtained, and everyone finally learned to respect each other's existence. We have stable careers, me as an artist & author, and she... Whatever she wants to do. We play video games and watch anime together. We're also rich, and maybe one or both of us is slightly famous. We're content and all is peaceful. I mean, the cockatoo screams a lot, but we still feel peaceful.

Probably will not happen, but I can dream. I can also put forth effort to make changes for the better around my community. :^D

For one... this modern idea of home ownership for all is dead. It was an unrealistic ideal in the first place. I see a return to family/clan housing (how it has been for the majority of human history); it has already started yet no one acknowledges it.

I am a firm believer in capitalism, but regulatory capture has already ruined it beyond repair. Automation and AI looms to be the final nail in the coffin. Society needs to adjust. We need to innovate again. Someone is going to figure out the new formula for success... as it is right now I don't see it being America.
