I may but VRV costs more and I don't really watch other channels. VRV also doesn't support Roku. I may switch if VRV offers some exclusive content and supports more devices.

I had signed up for VRV but just cancelled it. I am not pleased with the design and the lack of platforms you can use it on. Until it can work on my tablet, TV, Wii, or even Apple TV then I'm not going to sign up again. I really wanted to be able to access Crunchyroll and Funimation but they have a super limited amount of stuff on Funimation (No subs at all!) so...eh...I'll stick to Crunchyroll.

It's available on Roku now.

I'm sufficiently pleased with the VRV Roku channel to be using it over the Crunchyroll channel for the most part. It seems faster.

It doesn't seem much faster than the new Funimation channel...either the Funimation channel now responds in around a tenth the time it used to, or Funimation did a thoroughly abysmal job on support for older models (I just upgraded from a Roku 2 XS to a Roku Premiere), or Funimation is trying to help Roku sell hardware. I only just discovered the Funimation channel now actually responds fast enough that I remember what I was doing by the time it reacts, so I haven't really compared the UX with VRV yet.

It is a bit irritating that the arrows skip 30 seconds instead of the ~10 I'm used to from CR, and that I need to use to Roku app on Android to see a "most recently updated" list to go by. The "current simulcasts" list under the Crunchyroll section is in...I have no idea what order it's in.

The VRV Watch List seems to be ordered from most to least recently watched, which suggests a workaround...as long as I use it almost exclusively for tracking simulcasts and not much for "stuff I want to watch eventually," I can just keep going to the end of the list (skipping stuff I know is "to watch later") and check whether I've seen the last episode or not. Cumbersome, though.

It would also be nice if the watch list showed me some indication of the last episode I watched without my having to click through to the full overview, come to think of it. That would make the above idea much less cumbersome. It'd be nice to have the progress bar for where I left off under the thumbnails for episodes, like in the Crunchyroll XBox 360 app, but that's less important.

The Funimation section is of no interest to me until either I can link accounts (and therefore use the Bundle instead of re-starting my Funimation subscription) or watch Funimation subs through VRV. However, some of the other channels included in the bundle might sway me sooner than that.

I didn't like the layout, and I don't need the extra channels.

Not worth the switch, not as many supported devices as you would think in this day and age, a bit hard to navigate, and crashes consistently. I'm better off renewing the good old Crunchyroll subscription.

Yeah its definitely not worth the switch yet to me. Maybe once after they do a few updates to it through this year.

I made the switch, and have no issues. I thought about switching back simply because I couldn't watch at work. Even after they added a VRV browser, it was so choppy and unreliable that it was unusable with my shitty office internet. But they added account linking, so I still get premium and can use crunchyroll for browser viewing anyway.

The VRV xbox app is better than the crunchyroll app, which has been giving me some issues almost from day one. That said, VRV on PS buffers a LOT, so I still use the CR app on PS4.

It's still the beta version, and I'll try to sign up(again) when they release the stable version. It has got a lot of issues now like, "You can link your CR account and get CR services(cool!) but you can't unlink it(wha? OK) and if you somehow loose your current linked VRV account you won't be able to link your CR account with any new account as the previous account can't be unlinked( algorithm!)". Well, I'm telling from experience. But there're some great privileges like VRV can take heavy traffic and faster transferring, their interface and commenting on the inside app that CR doesn't have.

Completely correct. No subbed Funimation content, and a limited subsection of both for viewing. None of the other channels particularly appeal. Save your money.

Any chance they will put subs on the Funi channel on VRV? I ask because I have premium subs to both Funi and Crunchy. Given that a number of shows that I am interested in are now on different services, such as Anime Strike, I was considering switching to VRV to save some money, while putting those savings towards an Anime Strike subscription.

Nope, I won't be. I get all my content from here and another website.
