anyone else have major acid flashbacks while watching this monstrosity? At the very least, If you were to mute the audio and watch the visuals while dropping a few tabs of acid/eating a few psychedelic mushrooms it would probably be enjoyable.

On a more serious note... I had a horrible bought of simulation sickness from watching the first 5 minutes of this show. The overuse of the fisheye lens really made me nauseous.

Everyone please, I need answers:

Is this "Valvrave" bad or is this "the end of Oreimo" bad? I'd be on board for a trainwreck if it's fun to watch

Lord knows I hated that Coppelion anime that GoHands made though

I think this will be one of those shows where, sadly, I will probably watch to the end... I did it for a trainwreck called Big Order but depending on if my headaches progressively get worse from watching it, I'll most likely drop it.

- cries silent tears that another of my top 5 favorite shows is getting compared to this, and that said show gets brought up as iconically bad whenever anything is bad, even though said show isn't really that bad.

- goes back to drawing Valvrave fanart and crying for H9 and X1 </3

Valvrave was stupid but fun. This first episode of Hand Shakers was Big Order levels of awkward. On the bright side, the second episode can't be any worse by comparison, right? The preview makes it look like the second episode will at least be somewhat different.

I think reading all these comments for Handshakers was more fun than watching the show itself

I don't think I gave it enough of a chance, but I watched maybe less than a minute of it before the grim, dark whining became intolerable.

Episode 2

At least this episode stinks less than the first as stuff is actually being explained to make sense of everything. So Tazuna has quite a rough life ahead of him seeing that he needs to keep on holding hands with Kiyori, and that includes taking a bath with her. After last week's utter train wreck, at least it had nowhere to go but up. I'll give it one more episode as Chizuru looks to be an interesting character being an adult who looks like a kid.

Episode 2

This episode wasn't that bad they even got through explaining the purpose of Hand Shakers. Also that Tazuna can't let go of Kiyori's hand because she would die, but that rule goes out the window a couple times when they have to take a shower together. Also what else did the sensei say to the parents that they would allow them to bathe together? Anyway the hand rule comes back into effect the next day at school when he is asked by the class rep if he could fix something but it will take longer since he can use one hand.

This show still appears to me as pretty meh, nothing really interest me at the moment. Koyori is pretty much an emotionless doll so far until we find out more about her. The character chemistry between her and Masaru is pretty awkward if you ask me.

Granted, the pacing slowed down a bit so I do expect action to pick up a bit and we got some info about Hand Shakers. Now, I'm getting used to the animation style compared to the first episode. Still pretty mediocre series at the moment and nothing to get excited about.

Still watching though beginning to wonder why. Some stories don't jive until mid-series. This show is definitely a wait and see.

Bouncing boobs president seems to be the most normal person in this show... Even Tazuna's parents are strange.

It was an improvement over the first episode so that's a good thing I'll just focus on the positives and ignore the negatives.

I had that problem with Episode 1, and in Episode 2 I was going bonkers 'cause of the background music that made me feel like I was in perpetual phone hold-music hell.

And the cute, helpless girl and ecchi embarrassment stuff is so overdone and annoying.

Hand Shakers, I'm hand waving goodbye.

Episode 2 had a good amount of exposition and seems on track for interesting things in episode 3. I wonder what is going on with the girl?

Is this as terrible as it sounds? The synopsis read like someone just filled in the blanks on a Shonen application form:

<Name> is a high school student, living in <blank>, who loves to <hobby>. One day, he <contrived event that leads to him meeting a girl way out of his league>. Suddenly, <Name> and <Future Hug Pillow Design> get pulled into a whole different world called <Fantasy World>. In this world, there are <Special People> and <Special Power>. Their goal is to defeat other <Special People> in order to <Vague Goal>. <Tagline>!
