Doesn't bother me if it's with people who you won't need to maintain a certain image like your friends. But if it's with your family or your colleagues, it's best to steer clear of swearing.

I don't mind a well place curse word. But I hate it when people drop a "fuckin" or "shit" as filler for every other word. It's more annoying than inappropriate.

It's annoying when people do it all the time but swearing as an emotional exclamation or to highlight ones feelings on something doesn’t bother me in the slightest.

e.g if you stub your toe swear all you want.

Ephesians 4:29

Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.

It doesn't really bother me if it was just a slip of a tongue or just kind of like an expression (wtf, oh sh---, omfg, etc.). But, if they're cursing directly to a person, that's when I think it's bothersome (like f you, b--ch, h--, sl--, etc.) I don't curse myself, only because I think it's unlady-like or whatever.

If the person can't carry a conversation without profanity yeah, it gets irritating. I can't take anyone who swears nonstop seriously.

Not really, tho it kinda bothers me who says them. Like my best friend in high school, I never heard her swear. Then she got new company senior year and I began hearing her swear a lot even with petty things. It kinda did bother me

When I was younger it did, but I feel like when I was a kid people didn't swear every other word so they actually carried some weight. Nowadays swear words are so meaningless that they are more or less no different than another filler word.

When I was younger I despised it, absolutely hated it. Now not so much. I don't personally like swearing myself but don't really mind if it is used for emphases, as long as it's not to much and is tactful.

I guess I've been desensitised by this generations prolific used of it.
