*reads*

Literally the first thing in the abstract.

In spite of substantial public controversy, very little reliable data exists concerning the frequency with which non-citizen immigrants participate in United States elections.

He didn't ask about frequency. He asked for proof that they do it at all

Yes. Let's just form commissions to satisfy the curiosities of President-Elect Dumbass and waste even more taxpayer dollars.

Next he'll be getting a panel of idiots together to find out if water is wet.

I'd rather taxpayer dollars be spent on that instead of on millions of Illegal Invaders who drive wages down and vote illegally in our elections.

where's the proof? no one ever seems to have any.

Though looking back I guess it depends how you read the sentence. He could have been asking for proof that millions vote in our elections.

Dude, you've been on this forum for how long and you've never met Xxanthar?

Oh, I know him. I was persuading Mxdan to give up the derailment. It is just mudslinging.

That was indeed how I interpreted it. I also heard somewhere that America doesn't require photo ID to let people vote. I don't know of that's actually true or not but if it is I would definitely say that's probably the first thing to change.

... You don't expect anyone to really believe that excuse, do you?

You should really let it go. You don't know how he lives his life. He could be telling the truth. I do not think it is a topic worth pursuing.

Yeah, true, and I would give him the benefit of the doubt If he didn't post as frequently as he does. He spends far more time on this site then I do as evident by the quantity of posts he puts out. It's not hard to engage someone if your going to habitually try and say things that most people would respond to. But I stand by the fact that it is dishonest to say you can't engage people because you don't have time to do so and then post 30+ times a day.

State by state basis. The left claims that it disenfranchises poorer people which would unfairly target minorities.

Just a few facts to keep in mind:
- science in general has difficulty reproducing results. This is true of hard science and even moreso in social science
- consensus or agreement scientific theories don't typically change because the participants change their minds. It happens when the practitioners retire or die and are replaced by new people
- there are a whole lot of facts out there that you may not be aware of. Since the stories that cause some of the biggest impact on policy are environmental, here are a few alternate viewpoints: DDT, ozone depletion & hockey stick.

Now RFK Jr.'s views on vaccine safety apparently are based on erroneous results, so putting him in charge is not the best situation. I think that it would be more suitable if he were a member of a panel; given a voice but not control. However, I think that it is far more important that the presentation of science must take into account uncertainty, emphasize replicability, and be an open debate.

I say screw that. If government issue photo ID is exorbitantly expensive, that should be the issue being focused on.

IIRC it depends on which state you're in.

and how do you know they're illegal? do they have a sign around their necks saying "I'm an illegal immigrant"?

Yeah, already talked about that

Because they scatter when you yell "La Migra! La Migra!"
Imagine all the microscopes and pocket protectors we could buy scientists with the money we save by securing our border and deporting illegals.
