I like how the liberals think that it's a bad thing that the Republicans shut down government. I frankly appreciate them taking a stand against my premiums rising so I can pay for these 8 million Americans. And if the act were truly as "affordable" as labeled, why has virtually every large provider pulled out of several states?

Anyways, whenever I hear Bernie rant, all I can see is this.....

If the ACA is repealed, more than 500,000 people in my state will lose their insurance, and it will add about $2 billion to the state's budget deficit. There's no benefit in a repeal here, and the damage will be nothing short of catastrophic.

I like how even when people are shown the actuality of how shitty the re appealing is they make no actual attempt at refutation and just continue with their crap. I guess they need to get as much mileage out of that "Obama is the worst president evar!!!" bandwagon seeing as they'll lose their scapegoat soon and have to face reality.

So, I'm right the first time. You've only recently had healthcare and you may have no clue what things were like before ACA. You are attacking a policy from which you have context on.

Either that, or you are claiming in a period of 8 years, your rates did not go up at all.

So, why in the world do you have a bone to pick with Obamacare if it turned out to not even affect you at all?

If you've been looking for proof that modern Republican politics are all about immiseration and nothing else, this is it. This is nothing short of sadism.

That's okay. I'm sure they'll play the standard conservative hand of caring about the issues when they are affected by them like what usually happens.

Problem is, they just wasted a bunch of fucking time on fixing anything.

And elected the dumbest possible choice as President which is guaranteed to cause even more bullshit that needs to be fixed.

Who do you think is funding ACA so the 500,000 people in your state can get insurance? It's the taxpayer. The only difference is that instead of solely depending on the money from LA taxpayers and businesses, you're able to draw upon money from the rest of the US taxpayers and businesses. Frankly, I feel that your state should pay for your people, and my state, California, should pay for ours. If LA doesn't like its high Heath care rates, might I suggest adding a soda tax to make sugary beverages less accessible so that people don't become diabetic. Granted, that won't cover all problems, but it'll probably contribute to cutting down the rates in a good 5+ years or so. Also would be nice if LA offered subsidies for healthy food purchases instead of a blanket "here's your monthly welfare check" garbage.

....well, yeah. Inviting economic catastrophe, having your credit rating downgraded and sending shockwaves through the global markets IS a bad thing. And it isn't just "liberals" who think shut downs are a bad thing.
