Who do you think is funding ACA so the 500,000 people in your state can get insurance? It's the taxpayer. The only difference is that instead of solely depending on the money from LA taxpayers and businesses, you're able to draw upon money from US taxpayers and businesses. Frankly, I feel that your state should pay for your people, and my state, California, should pay for ours.

Big problem with that. You've aligned your views with Red State Socialism.

You voted Red. Now you get to pay for Red.

I'd say it's easy to vote conservative living in California, but then I'd have to explain what the fuck is going on in red states. And I can't.

^ And I didn't get paid for a couple weeks, nor could I take leave. Small price to pay for not having my paycheck gouged so that I can pay for people who didn't have the hindsight to properly take care of themselves health wise (and career wise) earlier in their lives. I am exempting those that were born with physical and mental conditions that preclude them from being active.

Everyone always talks about what their country can do for them, yet rarely does anyone ask what they can do for their country....

(Looks at Kenneth's latest attempt) Aww look, my state gives more than it receives...such wow. You act as if that was a news flash.

And no, it's not easy to be conservative in California. Putting a Trump sticker on your car is a good way of getting your tires slashed.

I don't know what to tell you. Conservatives are frauds. They are just as big, if not more, at spending federal money.

I like how even when people are shown the actuality of how shitty the re appealing is they make no actual refutation and just continue with their crap. I guess they need to get as much mileage out of that "Obama is the worst president evar!!!" bandwagon seeing as they'll lose their scapegoat soon and have to face reality.

If you've been looking for proof that modern Republican politics are all about immiseration and nothing else, this is it. This is nothing short of sadism.

You know normally I respond (If I do at all) to posts like these by giving some defense, however light, to the POV being accused and pointing out the other side also being shitty in some way but, fuck it. In the context of this particular topic, you're right on the money about republicans' intent to pauperize people. I'm not saying I find the ACA to be perfect, but to just take away it and all its improvements without even offering anything ostensibly better doesn't give me anything good to say. The whole thing just reeks of that "I don't care if you die, I need a bigger TV" attitude. Frankly I doubt re-appealing this act would be nearly as supported if it wasn't passed by a president these people didn't constantly use as their souffre-douleur.

Liberals are equally just as inept. I'm personally waiting for the taxpayer revolt.

They are literal comic book villains and people are always so willing to make excuses for them, forgive them easily, and vote for them despite being gamed on their own interests.

Instead of offering a solution to make bills better the GOP always just outright votes to destroy them entirely. Time and time again.

Effectively wasting millions of dollars in taxes that went into the ACA being a means for people who can't afford insurance to have insurance. Basically, they completely wasted everyones money by doing this and didn't do anything that betters the system. Ironic how anti conservative this actually is when you think about it.

This doesn't offer any solution to the original problem. This basically tries to say, hey, your poor, you don't deserve your own health. It is such a hypocritical notion and what really gets me is that this problem is only going to come up again and again and again. Is there not a brain within the Republican Senate? If you have an issue then fix it. Don't fucking punch the house down because you're in the midst of a tantrum. Use your brain and fix the things you want to fix in Diplomatic ways.

Liberals wanted to elect a woman who gave her passwords to e-mails containing sensitive information to employees whose husbands texted underage girls dick pics and a man who would have had to increase tax rates to a minimum of 60% to pay for everything free (without clearly thinking about how many working adults would have left their jobs to return to school, thus taking a spot from a young'un), so yeah, it basically was a case of "6 of one, half a dozen of another".
