Lighter periods is a bad thing?

Yeah, okay lady.

Have fun with your ovarian cysts.

That's the one you narrowed in on? >.>

Also add blood clots to the list. That was a huge worry for my ex when she was on it.

Of course it's the one I focus on, it's the easiest one to mock. Except maybe mood changes, but making jokes about that in this context may come off as being slightly misogynistic if worded poorly, and frankly the only times I put that much effort into my forum posts is in the creative corner section. I also feel it would be a bit disingenuous to add blood clots to the list, because from what I remember that depends by and large on what it is you're using.

Honestly, you're already coming across that way just by mocking a woman for bringing up the side effects of the pill to begin with.

And that's not being disingenuous at all. The risk does vary with the type. But none of them are side effect free of it.

Is that so? I must have been mistaken then. Although I do feel it's worth noting that apparently being pregnant and giving birth both increase the risks of blood clots as well. It unfortunately seems like you're at a disadvantage one way or another. :/

Side effects: Problems that occur when treatment goes beyond the desired effect. Or problems that occur in addition to the desired therapeutic effect.

What a head ache.

Missed periods tend to indicate something wasn't going the way it's suppose to, there are some women who get nervous when their periods don't occur. Some people take birth control to control their period. So to each of it's own.

There is already too many people in this world. Having easy access to birth control will slowly, but surely ease the strain on our environment. Less food, more open properties, less harmful actions being done like driving cars, and most important, less overly drastic measures to obtain resources. (i'm looking at you fracking, bottom trawling, and industrialized meat farms)

I don't like viewing actions by monetary numbers, I prefer longer term physical consequences to be represented instead.

If and when I do become a nutritionist, ill make sure to have a container full of condoms for my patents to take, free of charge. What does it have to do with nutrition? 1 less unwanted mouth to feed on this strained planet.

Unless prices have gone up pretty drastically in the last year, birth control is already pretty reasonably priced . . . . . when my GF was taking the pill she was paying between 15-20 dollars a month without insurance so about $0.66 a day, that's not out of price range for pretty much anyone.

Free and cheap birth control has been around a long time, like more than 8 years....it hasn't made people want to use them more now has it?

i feel that birth control is pretty cheap already. one thing though is i would think many birth controls are bad to take unless you are sexual active like taking it to avoid acne i feel would be a misuse. also would it be healthy to take hormonal ones during for example puberty sort of feel it may cause some issues not that i know much of anything on the subject.

These are the same possible ...side affects of actually getting pregnant.

Just without the ending gain of a child.

More birth control also means fewer abortions. Just throwing that out there.

Look, unless society actually forces people to use the plethora of free or cheap birth control that is already available, they will continue to rarely use it. Which means, "accidents" and abortions won't change.
