You know a proven way to not get pregnant is to not have sex, or at least wear a condom that you can get for free.
Pumping your body full of chemicals that cause all kinds of side effects later in life just so you can be irresponsible is silly anyway.

Abstinence is unhealthy. And having sex isn't irresponsible; it's a normal human activity.

how is abstinence unhealthy?

So people like me who hate our sex drives and want to abstain from sex are hurting ourselves? wot

It's not so much abstinence being unhealthy in and of itself as much as it deprives from the health benefits of sex.

Is it written by O.C.Alexander?

Nope. K.F. Breene, Fate of Perfection -- I'm about halfway through right now, but even right at the beginning it was pretty obvious this is primarily an old-fashioned trashy romance where the "love interests" are exceptionally intelligent, talented and strong-willed people who hate each other and have many verbal battles, and where the domineering (but we learn later he's just being protective and that makes it endearing and okay) man throws around words like "princess" and "cupcake" when referring to the protagonist, which of course infuriates her, yet even so, we the reader know they will end up passionately in bed and in love. *Blerch*

(I ended up with it because it was one of the free monthly "Kindle First" offerings from Amazon, and of the choices offered that month, seemed the most fun, based on a very brief description.)

Actually, I've now read far enough to discover that the not-elite are simply sterilized. It ends up being a very controlled eugenics sort of thing.

Well, you might be finding sexual urges to be a nuisance right now in your life, but someday you might be happy to have them, and might end up discovering that sex can be very fun, and doesn't have to be accompanied by a whole lot of crap that makes it seem not worthwhile.

eh i don't care for the fun my sexual urges make me do stupid and risky things that i wouldn't normally do not only do they endanger me but they impact my life rather negatively.

why have sex when you can read a nice book or play some videogames or do something to stimulate your mind i mean yes the feeling of sex is good don't get me wrong but it just feels so...mind altering and for me makes me feel like i'm not myself.

Actually, now that I think about it, relief from the whole "feeling like you're not yourself thing" would be a great angle to push when advertising sex toys.

"You're not you when you're horny. Niquers satisfies."

If everyone gave birth to Bob Ross that would be true, but unfortunately we're stuck with babies instead.
