PITA are a bunch of over-reactive over the top extremists. I'm sure their next step will finally involve terrorism against humans on animals' behalf...

I don't believe anything THEY call animal abuse. It comes down to this, if you repeat a lie often enough, people start to believe it. And PITA will call anything that THEY PERCEIVE as animal abuse, such.

The same as Green Peace, environmental terrorists who try to sink whaling ships, endangering human lives, by ramming them. They are FANATICS.

Really wish the animal rights 'activists' would go after real cruelty like that dog meat festival or halal slaughterhouses.

And a Fanatic, as the saying goes, is "One who redoubles his efforts, long after he has forgotten his goal."

This is a rather broad statement. I will admit that PITA is a.. well, PITA (Pain In The Ass) and they are a bit exaggerative in how they go about ruling something as "animal abuse". At the same time, the Ringling Brothers show has been criticized by many people over the years for how they treat animals. I get that some of the animals that they're dealing with are dangerous and exotic; yet, at the same time, they should've thought of that when they started throwing these kinds of animals into their shows.

They have been going after them for the past few years; especially after some of the slaughterhouses/farms have been popping up across America in the last decade or so. To be fair, these types of places tend to get "classified" as the same level of animal cruelty as, say, a farm that focuses on livestock (with "inhumane conditions"). Although, the "Dog Meat Festival" took place in China.. you and I both know that PITA isn't even going to try to tackle animal cruelty in China (that's like trying to stop a runaway train with a feather).

That is indeed possible, but with all the bad PR piling up so consistently it's gonna be a bitch of an uphill battle.

Except zoos are also accused of animal cruelty, and, in recent years, there has been a stubborn push to have them shut down throughout the states.

Hell, even sanctuaries are getting shit.
Zoos are just as much in the business of selling animal entertainment so there are a lot that cut corners for profit even if they claim to be non profit ventures.

It's hard to pretend zoos are suppose to be places of learning when you have ones like the Smithsonian's National Zoo closing down their entire invert section. Inverts make up well over 90% of the species on this planet, but they aren't considered entertaining enough apparently.
