So I keep geting this error page when I go into the crunchyroll app

I keep getting that error as well as one saying the information was malformed. I haven't been able to watch my shows for a week now! HELP!!

CR has been under a series of DDoS attacks over the past couple weeks. It's possible the Cloudflare anti-DDoS layer may be interfering with certain apps' functionality.

It has been at least three-four weeks of these error messages or the app being completely useless for me on our Xbox 360, and yet, the shows stream just fine on my Android tablet and Android phone on the exact same internet connection in my house. How long has the DDoS attack been going on? Is there any estimate on when this service interruption will stop? And, more importantly, why should I keep paying for a service that I can only use on the smallest screens in my house? Will members be credited for the time they were not able to use the app?

It's great that other forum members are willing to tell us that there is a DDoS attack going on, but why is there no response from Crunchyroll customer service or actual staff?

Just tried for over 30 minutes to watch latest one piece its unwatchable on 360 data malformed error it wont even load. flipped over to an old episode of Full Metal Alchemist and no problems at all all bars and HD lit up. It only has to do with newer shows usually, if I watch full metal till 2am there will be less traffic for the new episode of one piece and I will be able to watch it without a problem, it been like this for the entire current arc for one piece unfortunately.

New episodes need to be encoded for each subtitle language, each resolution, and each platform with a separate video playback format. This can take time, and isn't always ready when an episode first goes live.

The issue isn't just Xbox 360 it's also Xbox one & the universal app for windows. This problem isn't also just One Piece it's with all new shows or newly hosted shows.
I don't buy the multi coding and multi platform video play back excuse and I don't buy the DDOS rumors.

It's most likely one of the 3or all 3 ... poor management on how they are handing their services , their backend network setup or CloudFlare itself. CloudFlare's approach to blocking abusive traffic has started to suck and they in whole have been incurring a large amount of false positives and when this happens it winds up impeding normal traffic. Their whole captcha gate. Anti-DDOS approach sucks and causes more issues than what it's worth.

I started having this problem in december in all honesty. I can at least watch one anime episode and then I get that message.

Error message constantly pops up when I'm navigating through the menu. It used to happen during video playback but I noticed it hasn't done that in a while so that's an improvement.

It's so annoying that I keep exiting myself out of the app by accident since the default selected action is on 'Exit' (As shown in OP's post). It's disappointing that I've gotten used to this error now and anticipate the pop up by navigating slowly and sometimes pausing to make sure the error doesn't pop up and I don't exit out of the app.

So frustrating!! I don't use CR on xbox as much now and I just watch on laptop. Contemplating cancelling my Premium. I don't complain about many things but I'm paying for this, I expect a MUCH better experience.
