The Nintendo Switch Presentation has come and gone, it's been a couple of days to process, are you excited for it?
There are a lot of complaints about pricing and accessories, I think it's all been pretty fair for the most part.
You get 2 Joy-Cons for $80 which include Gyro, IR sensors, HD Rumble, and a NFC reader. Not to mention they boast a 20 hour battery life. That's the most tech I've seen in a controller. Pro Controller come with the same tech at $70.
There is a separate charging grip for $30, but with that 20 hour battery life I'm not worried about it.
The accessories are pricey, but not without reason and all things considered I'm probably gonna day one the system and Breath of the Wild LE only and add the rest as I see fit.
But with games like Super Mario Oddessy, Arms, Shin Megami Tensei, and my most anticipated Fire Emblem Warriors I'm stoked to be able to get one of these is like 5 weeks.
What about you guys?

No interest at all right now. Maybe a year or so after release if it has a stable of worthwhile releases and the power (or lack thereof) of the hardware has been proven I'd consider it, but right now it has nothing that appeals to me.

at most, i might see a few gameplay videos on youtube but that's it. switch doesn't really strike me as a "must" have console, and i'm already content playing mobile games such as deresute, love live sif and alternative girls.

edit:
it doesn't matter that the controller lasts 20 hours when the tablet itself can't last more than 2-3 hours. lol...

Perhaps, i'll peer into customer reviews and how it operates.

No, because Nintendo Switch won't play my older Wii games. I'm getting a Wii-U, instead, so that I can once again play those games multiplayer, along with having support and being able to play newer Wii U games. Nintendo Switch doesn't offer enough, and shoots me in the foot.

Well remember the tablet goes in the dock and use the joy cons separately
But as far as the rest goes makes sense.
No games that catch interest is an easy no buy..

Tbh at the moment, I'm thinking no or at least I'll wait until it's cheaper like for an on-sale date.

The lineup is lackluster (only two games I'm interested in so far) and the online subscription service doesn't sound promising. Plus, there's other games (hello Tales of Berseria, For Honor, etc) that I'm more interested at the moment. And I have to finish some backlog games.

Yes there is no question about it. Everyone knows Nintendo is struggling and has been for some time.
If they dont have the support this time i sadley see it being the end of what we know is Nintendo !
For games like zelda mario ect i would hate for xbox/ps to take control of...sega's ledgends were destroyed dont let it happen again !

No need to get the system when the only game I want is on a system I already own.

I'd love to help Nintendo out as a consumer but they're not giving me any incentive to buy one.

Nintendo is (still) doing pretty well, which is why they make people re-buy games on Virtual Console
http://www.gamespot.com/forums/system-wars-314159282/nintendo-making-3ds-owners-rebuy-the-wii-virtual-c-28980963/
penalize fan videos on youtube https://www.techdirt.com/articles/20150911/06482132220/nintendo-hates-you-massive-takedowns-youtube-videos-featuring-mario-bros-fan-created-levels.shtml and will provide a worse online service than Sony or Microsoft

they know mario and zelda fans will buy their product regardless of how they do business, so they don't really feel a need to provide better service.

Already got my pre-order in on Amazon, but not the neon colored joy-con one. :(

Still haven't determined if I'll keep the pre-order though as I'm not fully decided. I skipped the Wii U entirely so I kinda want to jump back into Nintendo's arms.

Probably not. I respect Nintendo for being a little more imaginative with their consoles, but very few of the games on them interest me at all.
Maybe if Xenoblade Chronicles X gets a sequel, I'll consider picking one up cheap like I did with the Wii U.
