Kinda, online. IRL, all I have going for me is the university's anime society, and that's not going particularly well because of social anxiety and still feeling new to it all (and when I am in the mood to make an effort, the established topic of discussion is stuff like "Call of Cthulhu" which I have zero interest in playing at all). It's definitely not something that comes up in everyday conversation and I feel little need to start trying. Occasionally, I'll talk to my brother about it, but we seem to have vastly different tastes these days and rarely watch the same things, so it doesn't often last long. So, really, nah unless we're counting these forums. In which case, there are discussion threads for that exact purpose.

As for "coping with it"... I'm often just quite happy in the knowledge that I have an opinion and it's pretty cool. I scratch my anime itch online as I said. I'd rather talk about other subjects when I'm amongst friends, for the most part.

Kind of. My ex gf/close friend, but we mostly like different types of anime. We'll occasionally align (like when she introduced me to Maid Sama and Fruits Basket, and I got her into Flying Witch), but otherwise she likes shonen more and plus doesn't watch as much as she used to.

Then I have a close online friend, but she also mainly likes shonen types so we don't have much in common. Same with another online friend I've talked to more recently.

So, no for the most part. My school has a "Pokémon Club" that basically acts as a catch all for Japanese culture, but it hasn't even met this semester.

Not in "real life", I guess.

The only folks I talk anime with are people I've met here so it's only via messages here or via IM apps like Line or Kakao Talk

Yes, but they moved out of town after high school ;-; Although I've met a handful of people here at college that enjoy anime as well.

Not Really, a couple of friends know but they're not all that interested and would rather discuss other stuff which is fine by me

A few. I live in a smaller area but I actually just found out that a fair amount of people I know like anime, including the guy I've liked for 7 years.

One but we only speak about it when no one else is around or in public. Mostly try to get each other to watch something we like but the other isn't really interested in. He got me to watch Berserk, I wouldn't have watched it otherwise. I got him to watch rumbling hearts and kissXsis(the not tv version)lol.

Yeah I've got a few and it makes anime that much more enjoyable cause it's something that can keep conversations, and we're always recommending different things.

IRL: My GF, my brother, 3 cousins, about 4 friends.

Online: A few good friends.

I'm kinda genre-less when it comes to anime so we always have some show to talk about or another.
