Loved it. Really highlighted the trust issues in both relationships and the economy. Besides, it just had a well-blended balance of realism, mysticism, suspense, and drama. I mean, the protagonist's traveling with a supernatural wolf goddess in search of her ancient homeland, but most of the plot deals with the dramatized life events of a merchant trying to make his fortune. Also, the romance was a bit more adult than the usual fare when it comes to anime.

Not sure what your research is for, but there you go.

Micro-economics.

The main character is a traveling merchant, engages in a variety of mostly profitable activities, and these tend to be a big part of the main plot. Selling things, buying things, haggling, extortion, smuggling. It's fairly educational actually.

There's romance and supernatural stuff too, and they were well done. Both leads are somewhat older and significantly more mature then your average MCs, and the various applications of the female lead's supernatural abilities was well thought out

If you're familiar with Maoyuu Maou Yuusha or Log Horizon, they were written by the same guy, and have a lot of the same economic-ness as those works, albeit on a much smaller scale..

Loved it, just wished they'd animated more of it as they really just did the beginning. I love the last couple of novels the most. I sure hope they animate the spinoff series.

Thank you for your opinion i myself am just finishing the novels , and yes in the grand scheme of the story they literally animated the meeting and start of the adventures !

Loved it! (I mean come one, my username comes from "apple" and "holo" haha). So much in fact that after I watched it the first time, I went out and bought the Blu-Ray just to watch it again. Like others have said already, the mixture of romance and economics kept it interesting. It was great seeing Holo's and Lawrence's relationship grow as the anime progressed. The teasing was funny

I do need to start reading the novels though. I heard they are fantastic and I do want the story to continue.

Really loved it. Both Lawrence and Holo were interesting characters, Holo being an ancient goddess who ironically knows very little about the world and suffers from loneliness and Lawrence who in this regards is her polar opposite and seems to be quite astute when it comes to the financial world. Plus, the two of them have some of the best romantic chemistry I've seen in any anime and light novel.

Not going to lie, part of the reason why it is one of my favorites is that in a way the interactions between the characters reminds me of a Shakespearean play or something, the back and forth dialog between the two main characters really sells the show and for one reason or another always makes me smile.

There is one final point I will make, it is one of the only fantasy animes that does not focus on combat, but rather just adventuring through that world. As someone who is a bit of a free spirit when it comes to traveling (love going off the tourist trails), talking to the locals, and learning about the various cultures and geography it was very easy for me to get lost in their world.

Amazing Comments ! Thanks so much all, iv run this thread through several websites, and keep having the same response off people !
And throughout them all most comments quote the same likes which shows to me that what it has done well....it has done very well !

And yes to Kevz_210 comment its nice to see an anime that dose not focus on combat or fighting ! between the charachters and the plots theres more than enough drama and action there !

Thanks again people !
